Qatar is pausing efforts to rapidly revive production at the world’s largest LNG facility after an attack on one of its tankers in the Strait of Hormuz raised fears that transit through the crucial waterway is still too risky. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

What a poaster. Hunter 2028 LFG!
WTF timeline are we on. Someone called me the MAGA whisperer and I’ll gladly take the title. Left, right, D or R we all want the same things. We’re being divided on purpose by the Epstein Elite Oligarch class because as long as we’re at each other’s throats, they get fat and rich off of our misery. The second we figure out we agree on more than we disagree, they’re done. Love your neighbor. Be yourself. Radical honesty. No fucks given, no fucks taken. Everything else is just noise. (But still fuck Jake “Brick Tamland” Tapper on any time line)

Honestly, Trump’s party purge makes it so much easier to vote in November. In the past I felt like it was my civic duty to review every candidate regardless of party. Now I can safely assume that any GOP candidate is Trumpy as hell and just vote straight against that.

Black cabs are last vestige of UK glory. They’re awesome. Beautiful cars, drivers speak perfect English and have total knowledge of the city. They’re ambassadors and tour guides—priceless contribution to daily life. The English historically the only culture to put extreme great pride in servile jobs like butler, chauffeur, groundskeeper, driver etc. One of the main reasons they dominated the globe is because they translated a surplus of labor from Industrial Revolution into the cultural benefit of fixation on manners and service. I do not understand people who say black cab “human capital” should be better used on what, spreadsheets? Insane Moreover, these sorts of IRL culture jobs—black cab tour type driver, private school teacher, maître d’, public parks gardener, experiential organizer, and clergy—have big future. Smart upper middle class types will no longer send kids to be lawyers or accountants or marketers because those jobs will be first eliminated by ai. Much like how Industrial Revolution gave birth to English pride in service, so will AI drive upswing in live culture professions. Supply will drive demand.
After 55 attempts over five years, Anshu Moorjani finally completes “the Knowledge” series of exams, earning a London black cab license. cbsn.ws/4ftid6l

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... endless drawers of gluten-free organic cookies, mini-fridges overflowing with cans of probiotic seltzers. I watched carefree millennials play ping pong at 11am in MPK 20. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
during my last year at meta there were probably 4-5 layoffs, but this one on 5/20 is huuuge my friends still there are either just waiting hoping to get laid off or extremely anxious because the job is their lifeline i remember the very first big layoff the night before was almost like doomsday, people were stuffing their bags with free snacks and drinks and chargers very weird time to be in big tech

Agree! Hence we laid off very few software engineers. Very few customer-facing sales people either. But if you don’t think AI changes how SalesOps, for instance, will be done going forward then it probably means you don’t know what SalesOps is.

“Watch it crush piano.” Slowly plays Mary Had a Little Lamb. Gradually, then suddenly, perhaps, but I’m not holding my breath here.
Meet Human Operator from MIT Media Lab: a wearable that lets AI temporarily take control of your hand using electrical muscle stimulation. Watch it crush piano, draw perfectly, and mix cocktails like a pro — all from a simple voice command. “I gave an AI a body.” This isn’t sci-fi. This is tomorrow. #HumanOperator #MITMediaLab

You quickly deleted the last addendum to this thread… pretty nasty behavior and attitude given the context you provided. You disowned your family after retroactively acquiring personal insecurities about not attending an Ivy? You blame them for that? Insane.

Tech literacy is more needed than ever before, especially as AI abstracts everything away. Many don't understand file systems, how to type on a keyboard, how to avoid obvious scams, basic data security, and more. Touch/App/AI-native alphas are about as tech literate as boomers.

This is a live debate in my kids’ school. AI, iPads—some of the most consumer friendly products ever made. Ever see a baby use an iPhone? Schools are about overcoming friction, learning hard things. Hard to see the case for schools needing to teach much of tech literacy anymore.

He did a great job, it’s hard to succeed a visionary-founder like Jobs. Didn’t fumble the iPhone bag iPad tablet supremacy Revived macOS/Macs Accessory domination w/ AirPods & Watch. Missed AI, but hedged on the HW side w/ Apple Silicon M-architecture. Thank you, Tim Apple.
history will reflect on tim cook as one of the most underrated CEOs ever

UA has the best app & digital services (by far). Delta has a better soft product, especially DeltaOne. UA has a better network/alliance. Reward miles generally go further on United. If you’re rich af, Delta. Alaska if you’re west coast and only fly domestic. Otherwise, United.

I grew up in poverty as a kid. We didn't have enough to eat. It got lots better in my 20s and 30s, but I never used my trauma to rape and kill anyone. It didn't stop me from becoming really smart either. So spare me your socio-economics arguments. People who come to my country to rape and kill have a genetic problem.
