See the difference btwn Amorim & Carrick breaking down Man Utd tactical issues. Amorim confronts the problem & players. Carrick chooses denial & downplays basic football principles - intensity, focus, aggression & compact team shape. Wilcox ruined us.
Carrick on Bruno pressing criticism. "Pressing is 1 small part of football. Is it to your strength? You DON’T necessarily NEED to press to win games." Show me team that's won the title in modern football without being great out of possession (pressing).

Ruben Amorim finished 15th took United to 5th. Changed the toxic dressing room, increased pressing, intensity and running. Michael Carrick finished 3rd and took United to 16th. Brought a toxic dressing room, favoritism, no intensity, running and pressing. Carrick took Manchester United 10 steps backwards

Tom Brady has had enough with the officiating. "My goodness. What is that?" "There's no way!" "It's definitely not roughing the passer."

The sickening stories keeping coming in…😢😢😢 SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub. Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out you’re going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ⚾️💙💛 The excitement. The anticipation. The memories you’re already imagining making. Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently can’t deliver. That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now. We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation. Everything was supposed to be set. Then suddenly, StubHub tells us they’re “searching for replacement options” because they can’t provide the tickets we purchased. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How does a company accept someone’s hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they can’t fulfill it?! And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets. THIS ISN’T ABOUT THE MONEY. It’s about the experience. It’s about the memories. It’s about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball. Look at the first picture. That’s the disappointment you’re creating, StubHub. A refund doesn’t replace that moment. And here’s what really bothers me… StubHub advertises a “FanProtect Guarantee” and tells customers their orders are “100% guaranteed.” Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?! Because from where we’re sitting, that guarantee doesn’t feel worth much when you can’t deliver the tickets you sold us. We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee. Now it’s time for StubHub to make it right. We aren’t asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost. Stubhub…DO BETTER. Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission. ℹ️Brandon Barker

Virginia has cameras on their goalposts that look straight up to be able to see if a ball goes over the top of the post.

Conferences have been dead since Texas’ bullshit with the Longhorn network
Ditching conference title games almost erases the meaning of conference titles, and they really do become simply groups with pooled media rights. If that's all they are, why wouldn't Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, etc., eventually go indie or form their own/smaller groups?

This is still Bush League stuff. Fans paid $1,000 for these Timeless Tickets in 2015, which is equivalent to $1,421 today. They were promised "best available seat," including World Series games. The promotion was stupid. But if you offer it, you should fully live up to it.

People are giving the Brewers credit for fixing the ticket situation, but this solution actually sucks. The people who bought those tickets bought them for this exact moment. Who knows if the Brewers get here again anytime soon? Giving them a shitty seat and then forcing them to wait who knows how long to use their Timeless Ticket the way it was originally intended isn’t doing the right thing. Corporate greed has permeated everywhere.

Oliver Holt reporting that the Premier League is leaning toward a points deduction relegating Man City to the Championship is the ultimate PR cover-up. Everton got docked 8 points for a minor arithmetic error and a £16m PSR overspend. Relegating them without stripping their illegally won Premier League titles is a complete protection job by the PL. A decade of deliberate, systemic deception isn't fixed by giving them a 1-year Championship vacation. Strip every single title and send them straight to Non-League.

Notre Dame also should’ve had 1 second left for one final play. Watch the clock here:

NEW: The Big 12 has announced that one second should have been added back to the clock in BYU’s win over Notre Dame: "Following the Big 12’s review of the final play of Saturday’s Notre Dame-BYU game, it was determined that time remained on the clock when the ball hit the ground and the play was incorrectly cleared by the replay officiating crew. The Conference will conduct a complete review of its end-of-game officiating process in advance of next week's games." on3.com/news/big-12-admits-c…
NEW: NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay calls out a clock error on the final play of Notre Dame vs. BYU: "There was indeed :01 on the bug clock when the pass hit the ground. Replay should have reviewed to determine if the in-stadium clock was at :01 at that point and if so, ND would have had one more play." on3.com/news/nbc-rules-analy…

This is everything wrong with modern college football. $653 for Notre Dame vs BYU. $577 for Alabama vs Tennessee. The sport that was built on tradition We’re pricing the people who built this sport out of It

The Saddest part of this new CFP is it’s the final nail in the coffin of Bowl games. Man I miss the days of being on Christmas break and watching nothing but Bowl games . A day when Teams wanted to be in them.

for like 25 years, college football had a perfect system where the entire country spent 12 weeks watching to ses which two teams would end up 12-0 and play for a title while 20-30 other programs still could also find a way to feel good about their season then decided to kill it

Billy, this is College Football. It is the greatest invention in human history. Every Saturday matters and people live and die with their school. Recruiting, Rivalries, Classic Matchups. College Football has it all. The only problem is that it's all dead now
