Such a beautifully sunny day today. I could swear there were still clear evening skies when I went into Muji. When I left the shop, it was chucking it down and hasnβt stopped since. Meh. How long was I in there???
Lovely photocall at the Science Museum this morning, for their new exhibition 'Becoming America: How Science Shaped a Nation'. Very interesting, first time I've seen one of the rare copies of the declaration of independence. Pic set @Alamy_Editorial Note: embargoed until midnight
The three kings have arrived a but early at Libertyβs. π Brief escape to the civilised world to look at some of their lovely fabrics for a project. I know itβs touristy, but I still love the charming old-world atmosphere here.
A few shots from the Liberal Democratsβ press conference this morning, Daisy Cooper announcing a major pre-budget intervention.
And some shots from yesterday, the very enjoyable Steampunk Spooktacular at the historic Victorian Crossness Pumping Station near Abbey Wood. What a stunningly beautiful building and structure. Definitely worth seeing, they are open to visitors on certain days.
Two more from Frieze London, because I really quite liked these two works. The first are two video diptychs by artist Russell Watson at new Black Curatorial Gallery, the second is a painting by Spanish artist Chidy Wayne at Southern Guild Gallery. All pic sets @Alamy_Editorial
And a few shots from Frieze Masters, which was very busy, but I must admit I prefer the somewhat calmer, more focused atmosphere there. Fewer influencers, more people actually interested in art. But what do I know. Both fairs were fab, together attracting c. 95k visitors.
Also went back to Frieze London and Frieze Masters for the last day of the fairs, some shots below. First up Frieze London with some very contemporary works. It was so large this year, that I nearly got lost when I went there on Wednesday.
