On a day when lakhs struggled to get to office and are still struggling to get back home, Central Railway employees chose to block the doors of the train to ensure they could travel with ease even when the compartment was 90% empty! This is the kind of apathetic attitude the Railways have for people Ashwini Vaishnaw ji?
This is not the first such instance with Central Railway either. Some time ago when people died in Mumbra and an inquiry was ordered against railway employees, they struck work and that strike led to 3 more deaths but no one was held accountable!
Despite a mega block on Sunday, train services were severely impacted on Monday due to a signal failure. What are these mega blocks for then? Is it a holiday for Central Railway employees? This route has the most number of mega blocks per year and yet the services are pathetic.
The Chief Minister and the Railway Minister keep bragging about bringing more trains to Mumbai every few months but are absent when it comes to taking responsibility.

Thane, Maharashtra - A commotion broke out at Thane railway station after railway staff allegedly kept the doors of a coach on a slow local train bound for Kalyan locked from the inside, leaving passengers waiting on Platform No. 2 frustrated and helpless, passengers repeatedly requested the railway employees to open the coach doors. However, despite pleas lasting around two to three minutes, the staff allegedly did not respond by opening the doors. Angered by the situation, one passenger protested by throwing water at the closed coach door to express his frustration over the staff's alleged refusal to let passengers enter.

#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On signalling system failure, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway, Swapnil Nila says, “A fire incident occurred this morning in the S&T relay room at Kanjurmarg station, due to which all signals between Vikhroli and Bhandup went blank. Signal restoration work is underway on a war footing. The signals on the up through line, towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, have been restored, while restoration work on the remaining lines is ongoing... The overhead wire problem that occurred this morning between Mulund and Thane stations at around 9 AM was restored at approximately 10:40 AM, and operations there are now running normally... We are making every effort to restore all systems as soon as possible and provide passengers with smooth local train services...”
