While we wait for the rest of the contestants to wrap up 2nd and 3rd place here are a few updates:
1. the all-time leaderboard will soon convert to a seasonal leaderboard so all particpants have an equal chance to rank high. seasonal badges will go out.
2. we now have badges. for participating, winning, and completing tasks/challenges, players will be rewarded with badges that will serve as a great trophy case as well as enable future benefits. will be recruiting artists far and wide to contribute art to the badging system.
3. at the conclusion of each tournament, you will be able to click the leader cards used for each player to reveal the decklist that they used. a great place to collect competitive deck data
4. at any time during the tournament, you can click your rank on the standings board and see how your rank was calculated. the exact mathmatical breakdown is available for 100% transparency.
5. On thecardwall - you can now make decks, save them, and port them over to your tournament enrollment easily.
Next steps:
1. smart contracts for paid entry tournaments
2. additional partner series
3. special perks for certain badge holders
4. tournament of champions for high ranking badge holders (those who place in previous tournments)
5. skill level based tournaments (must have certain badges or games played to enter)
6. multiple running tournaments at a given time.

1. PLEASE - Once round 1 starts, please make sure you are able to DM your opponent (follow if necessary) - the main players X chat will get too noisy if we use it for tournament coordination (discord will be become the new standard for this in an upcoming tournament @PengPost has details) - please use DMs as the primary scheduling method for all rounds - please use the players x group chat if you cannot get in contact with your opponent.
2. PLEASE - try to get complete matches within the round time limit. Of course, life happens, just communicate with me if there is an exception that needs to be accomodated.
3. PLEASE - both players in a match should report win/loss - the agreed vote here is VERY important to the rounds moving efficiently (otherwise i need to manually update)
4. PLEASE - drop if you no longer wish to compete in an ongoing tournament so future players are not unnecessarily looking for you
5. If you have not done so already - please go to edit profile and set your geographic location - AMER, EMEA, APAC is the important one - specific country is suggested but totally optional.
6. When round 1 starts, you will be able to enter the waitlist for the next tournament.
