SA values human life hence the ‘Ubuntu’ concept which simply means ‘we are who we are because of others’. I may as well remind you of the adage that ‘if you open the door for fresh air you must be ready to deal with mosquitoes and flies’. This is where SA is now. Not this xenophobia/acrophobia nonsense peddled by ignorant people who are pushing their nefarious agenda while the country is under siege. I will put it bluntly. SA law enforcement, including home affairs have failed to control and enforce immigration laws, others taking bribes to an extent that illegal immigrants felt they own the place and started rubbing it in the faces of unemployed SAns that they’re lazy and calling them all sorts of derogatory names. The audacity! Ask apartheid government. When SA rises up then you must know that they will not stop until their demands are met. Sans in their nature are very polite, sweet and welcoming. Nice hospitable people. Unfortunately majority of illegal foreigners think we are inferior or even fools. Danger! To call it Afrophobia is to try and entice yourself over things you know less about. Affected by this current uprising is the Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Africans, etc. Why? Majority of the mentioned nationalities are residing in the Locations (Kasi) competing for limited resources with the majority of the marginalised SA communities. They run Tuck Shops (Spaza Shops) and sell expired goods where to date 42 children died (only documented number), could be more. Brothels are all over the place with our daughters kidnapped and taken in for prostitution. Drug dens and dealers. Crime levels rising. Local hospitals are full. In case you don’t know, some Zimbabweans come in numbers and travel from hospital to hospital to collect free medication from government hospitals and take them to Zimbabwe where by luck others were caught at Beitbridge Border. Local schools have limited admission spaces for local children because illegal immigrants have bribed whoever is responsible for admissions. Man, SA is tired of this nonsense hence they are on the streets fixing what’s theirs. Imagine, one Nigerian installs himself as a king in a community in the Eastern Cape province. Lately, some Somali nationals host a party in Sandton and start to bash SAns as lazy fools, etc. Guess what! All these illegal foreign nationals don’t even call each other to order to avoid a backlash. That should tell you their level of stupidity. On the issue of light skin not affected, few points exist. Approximately 99% of whites stay in suburbs in SA. Fact! The issues that our communities are faced with are minimal to nonexistent in the suburbs. Police would occasionally bump into those illegal whites and deport them. Most importantly, these whites are difficult to spot because all their daily errands are done in the suburbs and cities, not in the Locations/communities where there are lack of basic resources. I can go on and on to explain, however labelling South Africans 🇿🇦 xenophobic or afrophobic based on what you see on screens without exhausting your time to understand the underlying causes and realities lived on daily basis is being naive and ignorant.
