The AI model built for deterministic developer tasks

Joined August 2023
Introducing interfaze-1-lite, the first general open-weight model for deterministic work OCR, speech-to-text, extraction, classification and more It returns confidence scores and metadata like bounding boxes on every run huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Interfaze appears to have copied the Chandra OCR 2 model, renamed it, and changed the license, without disclosing that the model is not orginal. See x.com/VikParuchuri/s…

The first 3 people to find me at @vercel Ship will get $5000 in @interfaze_ai credits If you know just how cheap our model is, you know how long this will last you👀

Introducing interfaze-1.1-lite, our truly open-weight model for deterministic work - 30% faster on document processing - 44% less memory use on a single GPU You can now combine and single shot tasks like: OCR + Translation + Classification huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…

interfaze-1.1-lite is made up of many smaller weights like TimesFM 2.5, PP-DocLayout, SAM 2.1 and more Each model is a specialist model focused on just one task They can be automatically combined to build workflows and their results get merged into a consistent structured output

Thank you to all the amazing people building cool things who joined us at our #SFTechWeek Wellness Night! We brought together CTOs and technical builders backed by some of the most prominent VCs for an afternoon of sauna, cold plunges, and acai bowls. Best of all, no one was trying to hard sell to each other Will definitely be doing these again :)

Le petite
the race i care most about: how small can it get? 👇 lev by @interfaze_ai gets 84.6% at 3 GB on one machine. that's 18x smaller than Clef 27B and 8.2 points behind. open models you can run yourself, on clinical decisions 🏥

Pretty cool event! @FeatherlessAI time to host our new open weight model on your platform huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…
Jev Hack/Demo Night in SF was a packed room! What got demoed: - @Richelle_Ji (Featherless) ranked ~2,000 SF Tech Week events with Simple Jev on open models - @not_simantak (@Tiny_Fish) ran a web agent on Jev-style decisions - Dennis Chen (@interfaze_ai) showed Lev, an open 4B decision model - Dev Shah (@resembleai) detected AI agents and deepfaked voices in real time Plus a round of community lightning demos of Jev variants built on open models. Huge thanks to our hosts @NehallAgrawal @Yunsu_Tang @divyalath12 and everyone who showed up on a Friday night. Birds of a feather!

Built on a new design called Mixture of Architecture (MoA) Each specialist model is a dedicated architecture built to solely process a single task The full weight is built to be light-weight and run on a single H100

Come to our wellness night to refresh after a week of working and getting pitched at other events 😂 sauna + cold plunge + acai bowls with other technical builders
SF Tech Week events are fun until you show up and spend an hour getting pitched by people you have no intention of buying from as a founder, I’ve become pretty selective about what events I attend, and here are some of my early recommendations for Tech Week 2026: 1. Agent Economy Gala a Gatsby-inspired, black-tie evening at San Francisco’s iconic Redwood Room: enjoy cocktails and live jazz with the people and teams shaping what comes next brought to you by Lemma, TinyFish, LlamaIndex, Linq, Obvious, and some other amazing teams! 2. Wellness Night for CTOs & Engineers we're partnering with @rhobusiness to give you a relaxing night off, complete with a sauna, cold plunges, and acai bowls The room will be filled with other technical builders so you don't have to worry about being sold to :) 3. Artificially Unintelligent Tech Comedy Show an evening of drinks, networking, and tech-themed stand up comedy brought to you by Vanta and Fondo follow to see what else I'll be attending at #SFTechWeek 2026! links to all events mentioned will be in the comments :)

for all my nontechnical peers who have been hearing about Jev lately but don't know how it works or what it's useful for, here is the simplest way to understand: our brains have 2 systems: System 1 is the gut-based, reactionary mode for quick decisions and System 2 is for tasks that require deliberate thinking and consideration most AIs you currently use are System 2 models where your outputs are in some format that requires creative thinking (most common form is a paragraph of text) but a lot of our real-world AI work isn't chat-based. It's thousands of tiny judgment calls a day like routing support tickets, flagging risky content, or scoring leads so, using a system 2 model for these tasks is like hiring a novelist to sort your mail Jev is able to do these tasks ~100x faster at a fraction of the cost its only drawback is that it's closed, so the team at @interfaze_ai built an open-source version called Lev, free for anyone to run, inspect, and fine tune (see comments)

Jev, now open source: Lev A 4B open source System One model based on Qwen backbone The best performance for it's small size huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…
