The crash is coming and the ones that survive are building generation companies The amount of Neo clouds reselling GPU using debt is crazy
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

i’m starting a new startup in singapore and i’m calling it directionally local. people who are serious about software should still make their own hardware. directionallylocal.com/

Defaulting to a frontier model usually signals to me lazy engineering when your workload is well-defined and task-specific, general-purpose LLMs lose to task-specific models every time if your problem has clear boundaries, use models built for the job instead of prompting a trillion-parameter model to guess the output

Why isn’t there an earbud with AirPod pro features, noise canceling, etc but wired?

i think this open source project just killed all paid code review tools we tried tools like CodeRabbit but they were overkill and with complicated SaaS pricing Robin by @aiwithanton runs code reviews directly in GitHub actions with any model we became core maintainers, shipped agent mode and a bunch of other upgrades, and now use it on every PR we only pay for the tokens we use and get awesome performance with models like Opus 5.5 or Astra

I still don’t get apps that do subscriptions when their entire product relies on tokens

My dear friends, I’d like to show you my latest toy project Introducing Handwired: turn your regular JavaScript code into a neural net! - no training - exact outputs vs the JS program - fully differentiable All runnable in a browser, without GPU

Now 1.1-lite is truly open source We got rid of every model that isn't truly open source and made it commercial ready and deployable We really launched this to show what you can do by combining the power of many existing smaller specialist models together
Introducing interfaze-1.1-lite, our truly open-weight model for deterministic work - 30% faster on document processing - 44% less memory use on a single GPU You can now combine and single shot tasks like: OCR + Translation + Classification huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…

One hell of a day at AIE Workshops. From claude-managed agents and wealth-managing agents to memory-aware agents We had it all. Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Thank you to all the amazing people building cool things who joined us at our #SFTechWeek Wellness Night! We brought together CTOs and technical builders backed by some of the most prominent VCs for an afternoon of sauna, cold plunges, and acai bowls. Best of all, no one was trying to hard sell to each other Will definitely be doing these again :)
