A tribute to Pradeep Sachdeva Sir - the noted architect/ urbanist who designed the Chandni Chowk street. RIP. A wonderful gift to Delhi. If Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh can be decongested, priority for pedestrians, then any market of India can also be transformed. @MoHUA_India
-Crowded Chandni Chowk in Delhi Undergoes Transformation -1.3 Km Stretch btwn Red Fort & Fatehpuri Masjid has been turned into a car-free zone -Decision was taken keeping in mind the Mughal-era architectural style -Beautification,Cleanliness, Pedestrian friendly Great Sight😃

Yes. However, Mixed-use Development in Indian cities will make sure that such kirana stores will never lose out on competition, as Mr @sanjeevsanyal worry. It is much easier to walk to the shop everyday than drive to a mega store. It is imp to preserve Mixed-use in our bye-laws!
