“No Christian will get to heaven and think all they went through on earth wasn’t worth it.” A blessing to preach at FBC Provo this morning.
“We have this treasure in jars of clay.” Preaching “God’s Purposes in Suffering” from 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 this morning at First Baptist Church of Provo, Utah. Jesus, be big!
“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” - Colossians 3:3-4 CSB
"It’s not the job of the Christian preacher to give people moral or psychological pep talks abt how to get along in the world; someone else can do that. Most of our people have no one in the world to tell them week in & week out abt the supreme beauty & majesty of God." - Piper
“Go and consecrate the people . . . [T]his is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.” - Joshua 7:13 CSB
“Some people’s sins are obvious, preceding them to judgment, but the sins of others surface later. Likewise, good works are obvious, and those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden.” - 1 Timothy 5:24-25 CSB
“Whoever lives with integrity fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises him.” - Proverbs 14:2 CSB

We are on our way to Utah today! I’ve never been, so I’ll get to cross another state off the short list of states I’ve yet to visit. I’ll be preaching the Idaho/Utah SBC Pastors’ Conference tomorrow and Sunday at FBC Provo, where our friend @edromine is a pastor. Jesus, be big!
“The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news, and blessed is the one who isn’t offended by me.” - Matthew 11:5-6 CSB
