Dallas Loughridge in her Michigan debut:
39 MIN | 9 AST | 1 TO | 2 OREB | 2 STL | 5 PTS | 1-9 FG | 3-4 FT |
I asked @umichwbball coach Kim Barnes Arico about where tonight's win stacks up against the night when her St. John's team broke @UConnWBB's 99-game home winning streak:
"Geno credits himself with me getting this job quite often."
Against UConn tonight, Te'Yala Delfosse led Michigan in points (22), rebounds (9) and FGM(8/13).
Kim Barnes Arico on Delfosse's development on both ends of the floor:
Geno Auriemma on 77-66 loss to @umichwbball:
"We probably spent more time on Michigan than we've spent on any game this early in the season.
"We couldn't guard anybody. I haven't seen that in a long time. We didn't have any help for anybody."

Let's go Harmon!
The (5) Michigan women's basketball team hosts (2) UConn tonight in the first top-5 matchup in the history of the Wolverines' program.
Harmon Sidhu of @theblockm on Michigan's big ambitions:

Huge win for the Wolverines, especially in the context of postseason resume. That's B2B Halloween upsets after they brought down Penn State a year ago today.
Michigan had done a great job of preventing Nebraska from siding out with Jackson out of the rotation.
That hasn't been the story in this fourth set. Jackson has been pretty much unblockable on the slide attack and a much more difficult matchup for Gordon.
Andi Jackson is 7 for 16 with a season high 3 errors through the third set.
Meanwhile, Michigan's pins have been winning their matchups. Cymarah Gordon has 14 kills at a .524 clip. Ella Demetrician has grown into the game and already has a double-double w/ 16 kills, 12 digs.
Ella Demetrician calls set, tooling the ball off a Bergen Reilly block attempt. Loudest crowd pop I've ever heard at Crisler Center.
28-26, 1-0 Michigan.
24-24. The Wolverines have missed their last four set point opportunities.
Back to back kills for Harper Murray as Nebraska won't go away quickly in this one.

In @umichwbball’s dominant showing against @RCUWarriorsWBB, junior guard Te’Yala Delfosse showcased her versatility.

Te'Yala Delfosse in Michigan's 115-24 win over NAIA Rochester Christian:
20 MINS │ 22 PTS │ 5 REB │ 3 AST │ 3 STL │ 1 BLK │9-11 FG│+60 +/- |
Biggest takeaways from first look at @umichwball:
- Delfosse looks like a true spot-up threat and can't be left alone in the corner
- Not much creation when Loughridge sat, team needs her to stay out of foul trouble
- Olson lived inside, played more like an off-ball 4 than a 2
