If you had told me a year ago that @eJPhil's big breakout story would be about Sunkist Fruit Gems, I absolutely would have believed you because that is entirely on-brand.

My favorite @jewishinsider and @eJPhil stories are the ones that are niche beyond belief. @jaydeitcher's piece today about the discontinuation of Sunkist enters the canon.

They had the perfect softness to pelt at 13 year olds. You don't know what you got till it's gone. My latest in @eJPhil

Thank you @jaydeitcher and @eJPhil for this lovely writeup of Talmud Daily!
To offer an easy intro to the central text of Rabbinic law, Rabbi @DBashIdeas, the founder of @18_forty, recently launched Talmud Daily, a free 40-week, daily video breakdown of the Talmud, which he says he’s treating like a tour through a theme park.

So proud that @eJPhil's @jaydeitcher took home not one but two first-place Rockower Awards from @TheJewishMedia yesterday. One for his socko piece on Joshua Ventures and one, with me, examining the recent Atra study.

JCPA's budget has nearly tripled under Amy Spitalnick — from $970K to $2.7M — and staff has grown from 2 to nearly a dozen. The driving force? Her grandparents' Holocaust survival and belief in American democracy.
