My coworker spent one year in Tennessee.
He came back to Tokyo two months ago.
He is not the same man.
He says "y'all" in meetings. To our boss.
He holds the door for the entire floor. Twelve people. Every morning.
He asked the convenience store clerk how her day was going. She had to sit down.
He calls every man "bud." Including the CEO.
He refuses to describe anything under three hours away as "far."
He waves at drivers who let him cross. One driver waved back and almost hit a pole.
Last week, he told a junior employee, "I'm proud of you."
She went to the restroom and cried for ten minutes.
We thought it would wear off.
It didn't. It's spreading.
Three people in accounting now say "y'all."
The junior employee holds the door.
The convenience store clerk asks HIM how his day is going.

Orphan of Kos is about to make me rage quit. Multiple times I have gotten this boss near death and the MFer just starts chaining attacks to the point that I can't get away or in to attack or heal. And I'm sure there's gonna be that one asshole somewhere that'll say "that boss is easy." I'm gonna preemtively tell you to go fuck yourself.

I watched the new Resident Evil movie. It was entertaining with tons of nods and easter eggs. However, a bit of the story telling choices didn't feel like it was Resident Evil. Overall, I did enjoy the film (surprisingly) but it felt... off.

I think tech companies are losing touch with their audience/customers. No, I don't want integrated AI into the OS of my PC or Phone. No I don't give a fuck about raytracing or DLSS5. No I don't want touch screen/digital displays in my cars. Stop trying to cram this bullshit into personal use tech. Literally no one asks for it and bloats the actual worth of the product for no good reason.
