“The decision to seek Gd belongs to us…”. Wishing my friends Jumaa Mubarakah - a Blessed Friday, and Peaceful and Joyful Shabbat Shalom. ❤️
In the Creation of Adam, Michelangelo painted God’s finger stretched as far as it can reach, while Adam’s stays slightly bent, just short of touching. Many read the gap between them as a statement about free will: God is always there, but the decision to seek Him belongs to us.

May the memory of those lost on October 7 forever be a blessing. May the light inside each of us erase the darkness in the world. 🕊️

Aviation for dummies: The identities of the pilot and co-pilot are presented to the arrival airport before departure, and no departure takes place before the arrival airport gives approval for all passengers, the pilot, and the co-pilot. Now, aviation for those who know: On an international commercial flight, the flight crew are not anonymous. The operating crew, including the Captain and First Officer, are documented, and their required biographical and travel-document data are transmitted through API/APP to the relevant border-control authorities in advance of departure or arrival. So yes, Israel had it and has it. So no, an international commercial flight does not simply depart with some mystery pilot whose identity nobody at the relevant authorities knows. Now, that's why all sides are working together and investigating. Two smart nations working together: one, the UAE, reached Mars; the other, Israel, carried out the pager operation. Yes, you are not smarter than either. Now sit down and let that sink in. And yes, chill and celebrate our brave flydubai Indian pilot ( Flight FZ1073), the brave Israeli passengers, and UAE transparency. When the investigation concludes, you will probably know the DNA of everything going back 10,000 million years. Then you can collect your Nobel Prize for being a super idiot who didn't know that the UAE is different. The UAE is the hope of the Middle East, a country that counters antisemitism, the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran's proxies, and Islamist extremism, while some of your countries give extremists citizenship, make them MPs, and call them activists.

During a visit to Captain Smit Machchhar… the flydubai pilot who embodied the highest degrees of courage, responsibility, and care for human life. From us, and from the leadership of the nation, he has our full appreciation and praise. We are proud that he is part of our team… part of the story of our nation… and part of what the UAE stands for… a nation of compassion… a nation of peace… and a nation of life.

"We will not apologize for choosing humanity over hatred, peace over extremism & coexistence over division." Thank you, Khalifa
The haters of peace, tolerance & coexistence are feeling hurt after the Flydubai incident and it shows in every insult/ criticism they throw on social media. Let them rage. We will not apologize for choosing humanity over hatred, peace over extremism & coexistence over division. Tolerance is not weakness. It is strength. 🕊️💪🏽

🚨 The UAE will not apologize for the Abraham Accords. MUST WATCH: Billionaire Naguib Sawiris made a powerful point about the “missed opportunities” by Palestinian leadership and the horrific terrorist attack on Israel on October 7. It is important to have voices of this scale and influence speaking clearly in the Arab world. My favorite peace heroes are our beloved Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the great Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Both had the courage to make peace with Israel, recognize that Israel is not going anywhere, and put an end to the destructive dream of annihilating an indigenous nation on its ancestral homeland. God bless the UAE for being a true beacon of peace, courage, and rational leadership in the Middle East. And God bless the greatest BREAKTHROUGH in American foreign diplomacy: The Abraham Accords.

This week, AJC’s Center for a New Middle East joined the @EmiratesScholar International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance conference in Abu Dhabi as a main partner to continue our work advancing interreligious dialogue and understanding across the Middle East and beyond. We commend the UAE for its leadership and steadfast commitment to these shared values. During the conference, we signed a new partnership agreement with the Emirates Scholar Research Center to deepen our shared commitment and expand our mutual efforts to interfaith dialogue and regional cooperation. AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer Jason Isaacson delivered a featured address at the event and Interim Director of AJC Abu Dhabi: the Sidney Lerner Center for Arab-Jewish Understanding Reva Gorelick participated in a panel on freedom of expression in the digital age.

I've been so upset by the wars in this world, that I decided to create my own. It's a world in which a young girl discovers we're all connected, in ways we can't always see. "My Mother is the Moon, My Father is the Sun" is at Northwood Film Festival, West Palm Beach tonight! 🌙🌞

Replying to @WSJ
@WSJ"Everybody Loves to Hate Dubai." Here’s Why They’re Wrong. The city, under fire from Iran and assailed by critics, is a beacon of opportunity for people around the world. The city faced its first test of war, and it responded with dignity. There was no massive hoarding, no looting or crime spree, no exodus of residents. By day five of the war, Dubai regained its relative composure. Traffic jams returned to the main roads and offices, malls and restaurants were full again. Vital infrastructure, such as power stations and desalination plants remain intact, and even the airport partially reopened to commercial flights. “It is a city where you can be different from each other but live together, where you have an abaya and a bikini side by side on the beach, where everyone can be themselves, be accepted for what they are, and where it is safe to raise my child,” said Olha Danchenkova, a Ukrainian communications professional who moved to Dubai six years ago. Danchenkova said she was impressed by the sense of community in the hour of crisis. On the first day of the war, the psychologist at her daughter’s school reached out with advice on how to calm children’s frayed nerves. WhatsApp message groups traded other advice. At a time when rich Western nations see mass immigration as the font of societal ills, Dubai and other Gulf cities stand as exceptional beacons for foreign talent. If you are an ambitious professional in a developing country—a Syrian doctor, an Egyptian lawyer, a Filipino engineer, and Indian accountant—you stand little chance of quickly securing the visas and permits to work in your profession in the West. But in Dubai, you can, often at salaries that exceed Europe’s. wsj.com/world/middle-east/du…
