The world is a darker place tonight with the passing of my beloved friend, James Miller.
His devoted wife tells me he died peacefully and with her by his side.
It is unfair that such a beautiful soul leaves this earth at his age, but that must be God's plan.
It's not just that Jimmy was a good man. There are many good men in this world. Jimmy was also a sweet man ... a good heart ... a kind soul.
This will be a loss felt widely and deeply. It will make many of us reflect on why the good die young.
I go to bed tonight mourning my friend, thinking of his infectious laugh, and knowing that the world around me is not as bright as it was when Jimmy was with us.
Rest in peace, my friend.
