I'll be voting for Olivia Chow in Toronto's mayoral election tomorrow. I'm not a leftist or progressive, but i appreciate the work she's done to make the city better.
Crime is at its lowest in years, my kids love all the new parks that have been built, she pulled off a flawless World Cup...
Importantly, she does not hesitate to empathize with suffering, desperate people, whether here or abroad. I suspect much of the vitriol against her is because she calls a spade a spade, and I applaud her for it.
Too often this city alternates between clueless leftists and ruthless right wing opportunists. Olivia Chow is something different, more like the quiet, hardworking, competent families that make up the backbone of this city.

Even more experts have looked at Brad Bradford's water scheme and it's clear: he's leaving the door open to privatization of our drinking water.

John Tory on Brad’s water scheme:
“you do lose a degree of control when you send it off to one of these even publicly owned corporations…if it ain't broke don't fix it. I mean you know - if the water turns on, it’s clean, it's safe, it's among the best in North America."

I have the same as Pollara as of today (10-point lead for Chow).
Now, if only people over 55 years of age vote, then Chow and Bradford are statistically tied.
Also, Etobicoke York and North York always have better turnout compared to Scarborough, so that also makes it a bit better for Bradford.
Regardless, I think Chow wins by more than 5-points.

This election is a simple choice: Do we keep moving forward together to make life more affordable?
Or do we go backwards to cuts?
I don't think that's what Toronto wants.
I have made my choice. I will keep standing up for families across our city. And I will keep bringing costs down.
This race is close. Your vote will decide it. I’m number 9 on the ballot.
Let's keep moving forward, together.

Olivia Chow has received endorsements from the most recent Progressive Conservative, Liberal and NDP premiers. #onpoli #topoli
I’m proud to have the endorsement of Kathleen Wynne, the 25th Premier of Ontario.
As Kathleen says, we come from different political traditions but we share a value system. We both believe that government exists to lift people up and to help them do the things they cannot do themselves.
This election is a choice between moving forward together to make our city more caring, or going backwards with cuts to the services families depend on. Kathleen is a leader that has always stood up for families, and I am committed to building a city that works for everyone.

Thank you for your support, Bob.
I am voting for Olivia Chow for Mayor of Toronto. Her commitment to a city that works for everyone has been clear and deserves support. She is wise and caring. She pushes forward with courage and compassion and has the integrity and consistency we need at this moment.

I've worked with both Olivia Chow and Brad Bradford. Mayor Chow acts. Councillor Bradford is mostly talk.
How can we expect someone to serve our city well when they've failed to serve their own ward?

Toronto’s water belongs to the people of Toronto.
New polling shows 60% of Torontonians are concerned about the potential privatization of Toronto Water.
Our members work around the clock to deliver safe, clean drinking water to our city. That responsibility should never be put at risk.
Public water. Public accountability. Public trust.
Toronto’s water is not for sale. 💧

Love her or not, here is the record Mayor Olivia Chow has built heading into the upcoming elections:
1. Handed DVP & Gardiner to Ontario (saved Toronto $1.9B)
2. Deployed 100+ traffic agents, cutting intersection blocking by 96%
3. Upgraded Toronto’s credit rating to AA+ for the first time in 23 years
4. Froze TTC fares 3 years in a row & kept Scarborough Busway on track
5. Cut 911 call wait times from nearly a minute down to seconds
6. Passed strict local rules targeting bad-faith renovictions
7. Expanded year-round park washrooms & 7-day library service to all 100 branches
8. Reduced visible homeless encampments by 70%
Debate the policies all you want, but these are the numbers on the board.

Liberals don’t have a clear candidate in Toronto’s upcoming municipal election. In today’s @TorontoStar, I’ve argued Liberals should rally to @oliviachow as the only progressive on the ballot.

The death of Police Constable Marco Pinizzotto is heartbreaking news for our city.
There are no words that can ease the pain for the officer’s family, loved ones, and colleagues across the service. This grief is shared across the entire city.
Police officers go to work every day knowing the risks, putting themselves in harm’s way to protect others, and today is a devastating reminder of that sacrifice.
We also recognize the toll moments like this take on all first responders who continue to show up for us, even in the hardest of circumstances.
We are grateful for all who serve and continue to stand with those who keep our communities safe. We honour their courage, sacrifice and dedication.
