This is the most spectacular “I am not getting trapped answering this fucking question” I have seen in a long time. Joe Burrow is a non-answering hero.
Joe Burrow said Bengals owner Mike Brown told him at the start of practice JD Vance would be attending Burrow on the vice presidential visit to Paycor Stadium:

Life imitating satire or farce here?
JD Vance: "There is no person who hates the idea of people enriching themselves fraudulently over access to the government than Donald J Trump"

It is true, however, that Capital Commonsense is new to the District. So far its authors seem more interested in identifying the governance problems that have accumulated over the Bowser era than the JLG supporters who promised change. It's a good follow: capitalcommonsense.com/

Italian govt seems far more hard-nosed and realistic about the Russian threat than many in Western Europe.
Bloomberg: Italian officials are looking into whether outside actors such as Russia had a hand in violent protests that swept Milan and other European cities over the weekend, according to people familiar with the matter.

This October is giving off the same vibes as 2006, when Dennis Hastert infamously held a presser in front of cemetery on Oct 10 to make sure the country understood the metaphors re: GOP prospects that November.

The good news here is regardless of the result, District 158 is going to be represented by the best facial hair in the United States.
The two candidates for Missouri House of Representatives District 158 have something in common. Left: incumbent R - Scott Cupps Right: D - Chris Foster

Rep Brian Fitzpatrick is part of a majority that has done absolutely no oversight for two years as Musk, Trump and others have subverted the law and betrayed our Ukrainian allies. His time abetting a failed Republican majority should end this November.
GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick says if Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of Starlink in Ukraine, "that is likely a violation of the law." "We've gotta investigate...We've got to call the witnesses, got to bring them in, put them under oath, and get to the bottom of it. Because this is this is a very, very serious matter. It cannot be glossed over."

Vivek is not the only deeply unethical scoundrel running in Ohio this election cycle.
Meet Jon Husted, the Republican nominee for Senate in Ohio. Husted was at the center of the largest bribery scandal in the state’s history, selling out Ohioans to pass a billion-dollar bailout for the utility company that funneled $1 million to his gubernatorial campaign. Ohio deserves better.

Who is Andy Biggs? The Arizona Congressman has a number of ties to white supremacists and antisemitic movements. Biggs labeled Judaism a “death cult” and called for a “final solution” that involves the deportation of American Jews. In 2023, Biggs co-sponsored a Proud Boys rally. This November, he’s up for re-election.

The guy who lived most of the last year in Mexico decides to throw stones, huh?
This thread is a good explainer and also why it’s so problematic to have folks who just showed up on the local scene parachuting into issues day after day. Take a minute to learn from local experts like Emily before you blog out to the world.

At best disingenuous by Ro. The permitting deal would impose the first binding requirements on data centers to pay for electricity infrastructure it uses and more, and give states the ability to put more standards in place. Meanwhile, the status quo he’s abetting does nothing.
It would be tone deaf if Congress makes it easier to build data centers right after an election with bipartisan rage against shoving them down the throats of local communities.

THIS 👇🏼 is the ball game! Clean is the market leader in cheap energy. Remove obstacles like litigation, as @SenWhitehouse explains, and MORE CLEAN gets built FASTER.
Bingo. I’d only add that litigation against projects used to be “good guys against bad guys,” but now is often fossil fuel front groups litigating to delay low-cost clean energy competition. 90% of new power is clean; we know what the market wants. vox.com/future-perfect/50506…

Trump promised: lower electricity prices❌, lower diesel prices❌, lower inflation❌. Farmers have gotten tariffs, higher energy prices, and imported beef. Two years, and all he’s delivered is economic pain.
Scoop: Top Republicans are banking on Trump’s promised $8 billion for farmers to stem GOP bleeding in farm states. It’s worked in the past just ahead of Election Day. But the internal, taxpayer funded USDA account Trump is tapping doesn’t actually have enough $$ in it right now to make the direct payments. Congress will have to approve the new funds (a fight ahead in a GOP pkg or bipartisan year-end bill) or the admin will have to take it from another program, per Trump officials. Farmers won’t get any payments until late Nov or Dec at the earliest, likely later. The disaster aid-like payment structure is coming later in Nov. Farm state Hill Rs are still planning to push for another +$12 billion in year-end package. They've said farmers need +$50 million in aid to recover from the hit of tariffs and high fuel costs. more w/ @YarrowGrace politico.com/news/2026/10/20…

This isn't my first rodeo with President Trump. After calling for me to be arrested, tried, and hanged for a 90 second video he didn't like, he is now attacking me for saying that there will be accountability for people who commit crimes on his behalf. It's simple. If you break the law, then you should be held accountable. If you are stealing taxpayer money and enriching President Trump or his family, then you should be held accountable.
.@POTUS: "They've weaponized government. Slotkin is a low-life who is ruining her state, just destroying her state. What they're doing is really discouraging people from going into politics. They weaponized government, the Democrats — that's what they've done."

Republicans have a massive morality crisis. Biggest donor complicit in war crimes and killing Ukrainian women and children, Ohio gov candidate attacking victim of child sexual abuse, Texas Sen candidate corrupt beyond comprehension. The party has utterly lost its way.

Starlink, along with SpaceX, have enormous govt contracts. It is an enormous problem if their owner is taking action that subverts government policy and our nation’s security.
