My household income classification ~ forget the B40:M40:T20.
Let us see real numbers ;
Less than RM3000 is poverty
3001 to 7500 is low income.
7501 to 15k is middle income
> 15,001 is high income
Based on households with two kids.
Adjustments needed for family size & location

We waste billions on white-elephant megaprojects, inflated direct-nego contracts, sweetheart concessions, and subsidising waste instead of productivity.
Manage our public funds with basic integrity and we wouldn't be short on cash for world-class public healthcare, modern schools, high-paying jobs, and a targeted safety net that actually protects the vulnerable.
Apa yang condescending nya?
And its not about commission/income
Is platform work sustainable~ that's the question.
Will they be replaced by robots, drones and autonomous vehicles?
Shouldn't Gov create better jobs with fair wages?

Bro, jangan condescending sangat. Awak assumed all 300k gig workers tu buat full time kan.
Anyway pmx sebut masa bajet hari tu yg gig workers commission is studying how to make sure full time gig workers ni dapat pendapatan yg baik.

Sebelom naikkan share komisyen utk gig workers, kerajaan kene make sure, blue and white collar's gaji kene naik dulu. Barier of entry utk kerja gig ni rendah sangat, budak hancur SPM pon boleh masuk. Takut nanti jdi masalah budak xnak habis sekolah sebab kerja gig lumayan sgt.
LNG at US$18/mmBtu means fuel alone costs about 50 sen/kWh for a modern gas plant (55% efficiency).
Add O&M and capital costs, and electricity generation is roughly 55-60 sen/kWh.
Solar+battery is way cheaper.
But Madani is awarding more CCGT IPP contracts.
1) Malaysia spent tens of billions of ringgit building shiny MRT and LRT lines that run with empty seats, while our highways are choked in permanent gridlock.
2) Why? Because our fuel policy literally pays people to drive instead of taking the train.
3) Under the current RON95 system, government aid is paid per litre. If you leave your car at home and take the MRT, the government gives you RM0 in petrol aid. But if you drive a heavy car, sit in traffic, and burn 300 litres a month, taxpayers hand you hundreds of ringgit in petrol subsidies.
4) Think about how crazy that rule is: the more exhaust smoke you pump into the sky, the more taxpayer cash you get. The greener your choice, the less help you receive.
5) Now look at the Madani plan: instead of ending this trap and making driving pay its real cost so people actually fill those empty trains, the government decided to keep subsidising cheap RON95 for 99% of drivers.
6) The government used your tax money to build mega-train projects, and now uses your tax money to bribe millions of drivers to keep driving past them in bumper-to-bumper jams. You literally get paid more public money the more you pollute.
Klang Valley didn’t build rail around demand. It built rail around ribbon-cuttings.

"Brazil is not dependent on financial markets. On the contrary, financial markets depend on government spending, which creates financial assets for the private sector, while government debt denominated in the national currency is one of the instruments through which those assets are held"
The entire Financial Times editorial board has published a piece urging Lula to cut government spending and appoint a finance minister who enjoys the confidence of investors.
I get the impression that the FT editorial board has never opened an economics book other than some outdated introductory macroeconomics textbook, perhaps something by Mankiw. Otherwise, it's hard to explain such astonishing arrogance and economic ignorance.
Lula and the Brazilian people have absolutely no reason to bow to the demands of financial markets. Brazil is Latin America's largest economy, a major regional power, and a country with a high degree of monetary sovereignty. Around 97% of the central government's debt is denominated in its own currency, the Brazilian real.
The relationship between the state and financial markets is therefore nothing like the FT portrays it. Brazil is not dependent on financial markets. On the contrary, financial markets depend on government spending, which creates financial assets for the private sector, while government debt denominated in the national currency is one of the instruments through which those assets are held.
What Brazil needs is not capitulation to financial markets, but an independent economic policy focused on expanding production, creating jobs, and improving people's living standards.
Armed with the insights of heterodox economic theory, Brazil has the potential to show the world what a genuine economic miracle looks like. ft.com/content/79785581-88c2…

- Pourquoi ?!
- C’est compliqué…
- Et vos proches ? Votre famille, des amis ? Personne pour vous entourer ?
Elle inspira profondément.
- Je vis seule avec mon père… Il est malade.
Un long silence.
Allons-y, papa. "
We need economic growth. But GDP growth alone is not enough.
If the gains do not reach lower-income households through better wages and living standards, the headline numbers mean little to them.
How growth is shared matters as much as how fast the economy grows.

Fantastic deal making...they got Godiva for free.
Here I am pushing for lower ECRL fares in order for more people to be able to afford to use the ECRL ~ and yet I get comments such as

Dengki apa ?

Dengki betul dengan pantai timur. Meanwhile west coast is getting all kind of elevated highways, mrt, lrt, ports.
