I wrote up the live-action Chopper reveal for @OnePiecePodcast!

It's Bandcamp Friday! It just so happens I have a new album, Washing Machine Incident, which came out last month. It's an improvised guitar and bass drone album. Fun! Weird! Interesting! Etc!

New weekly song is up on Patreon! My partner opined it sounds like the kind of music that plays during a Yakuza / Like a Dragon side quest, and I agree.

New song up on the Patreon! Because this week has felt like a hiccup, you know?

I have a new album out today, with the amazing Tokyo-based bassist Naoyasu Takahashil!! Eerie drones for eerie times! I hope you enjoy it!

If someone would like me to write about tomorrow's Switch 2 Direct for their website, I would absolutely love to.
Just shared my first seasonal playlist for my Patreon subscribers! This was super fun to make!
What's inside? For starters: Capcom music, clipping., Deerhoof, my semi-secretly beloved Sakanaction, and, of course, the song "Everything is Awful."

You can’t blame anyone but Zaslav for this movie flopping with how little marketing support it’s gotten, but still, GO SEE IT AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS
This morning, after about 8 months of precariousness, I was officially let go from The Mary Sue.
3 years at TMS, and it was ended in an impersonal email from Gamurs HR. I feel furious.
I'm still at The Escapist, but if anyone's looking for a writer / editor, let me know.

Instead of expanding upon the innovations of Pokémon Horizon’s first season, The Search for Laqua does itself a great disservice by refusing time and again to commit to its strengths.

I wrote about season 2 of Pokémon Horizons, The Search For Laqua, for @IGN!
Vibe preview: not even five minutes after I turned on episode 1, my partner quietly packed up his laptop and left the room.

This week on Patreon: I've been obsessing over Philip Glass and Severance, and I wrote a song which very much sounds like that.

Initially, I set out to make a track that sounds like Street Fighter 6. This happened instead.
This is the last week songs are listenable for non-subscribers. $3/month to hear the full fruits of my weekly nonsense. More nonsense might be nice now, eh?

Last week on my Patreon, I attempted to write a song in the style of Ace Attorney. Did I get it right? Or do you have "OBJECTION!"s?
One more week until songs are for subscribers only! But you can subscribe for either $3 or $5, because it's hard out here.

I've been thinking a lot about how there's no "heir apparent" to David Lynch, which is part of why his passing hurts so much. But there are always daring filmmakers lurking in the shadows. We just now live in a version of the US film industry that will never bring them to light.
Lynch's ability to simply and subtly establish the thematic throughlines of his projects in both TV and film is as unmatched as it is often disturbing.
