🚨 #ScamAlert Request all of you have got cheated by @Flipkart or other e-comm portals to read and share your experiences as replies to this tweet. We need our MP to fight these e-commerce giant's fraudulent practices Let me begin by thanking you Mr @raghav_chadha for raising consumer issues of telecom & hospital billing. These impact us more on a daily level and streamlining this is a huge help, more than anyone would care to admit! I want to highlight the scam that @flipkartsupport is operating these days. My @shopmotorola TV that busted in just 8 months. When I raised it with Flipkart, this is what happened: 1. They tell you to slide into DM (in the name of privacy) but largely just to drag the matter for a week or two. 2. They registered my complaint, sent a technician, acknowledged that it's a faulty product and agreed to refund the money. 3. While they called everyday, they refused to put anything in written for 12 days. 4. Then after another week, they asked me to give the same brand box in which TV was delivered. (who keeps a 55 inch brand box for 8 months) otherwise they won't refund the money. After our arguments, they asked us to arrange all packing material for any brand, only then will they pickup the TV. 5. After few more days, they (Spoke with cust Support escalation person: Mr Yuvraj Yadav) falsely closed the case without any resolution. They have marked the product as faulty and said the return is rejected. This is completely fradulent practice. 6. When I tweeted about it, a lot of others joined in with the same woes and shared their screenshots with me (teapawt.org/sarcatrist/status/2087…) 7. I registered the complaint with @ConsumerDept on (@jagograhakjago) consumeraffairs.nic.in on refund of TV amt and refund of 2 year warranty. They closed the case by replying only on warranty point but no comment on TV refund at all (Notice how they are playing this game). 8. Had marked their CEO, Mr Kalyan (@_Kalyan_K) and also written an email but it didn't elicit any response. 9. @shopmotorola doesn't intervene at all despite the fact that it's their TV that broke down in just 8 months and that their brand reputation is at stake. They have simply outsourced everything to @flipkart Is this the right way for this #Chinese company to sell & fleece Indian customers? I request you to help us fight this fraudulent practice of @flipkartsupport - They know that even consumer grievance matter can be closed without an adequate response. They believe that given how large they are, they can get away scotfree. Mr @raghav_chadha - We need your support on this to fight this arrogant company.
