Today, 2 November, on the death anniversary of Flying Officer Vinod Kumar Chama Sir, I had the privilege of paying my humble tribute to this brave son of India at Mount Kalsubai, the highest peak of Maharashtra.
Standing at the summit, I proudly held the Indian Tricolour along with his photograph, remembering his courage, dedication and sacrifice for our nation.
At just 24, Flying Officer Vinod Kumar Chama Sir had already dedicated his life to serving the country. As a MiG-21 pilot with the Indian Air Force’s 24 Squadron, he lost his life on 2 November 1983 while serving the nation.
He is a real hero and an inspiration to today’s generation. His life reminds us that age does not define the impact we can make, but courage, commitment and service to the nation do.
As a small effort to honour his life and keep his story alive, I have also made a documentary titled THE UNNAMED, which shares the story behind this special tribute. The documentary will be released soon.
Through my mission, Har Shikhar Par Tiranga, I sincerely hope to bring the stories of such heroes to the younger generation and ensure that their sacrifices are remembered.
Flying Officer Vinod Kumar Chama Sir, your life continues to inspire us, and your sacrifice will always be remembered with the deepest respect.
We remember. We honour. We salute. 🇮🇳

A promising breakthrough for high-altitude farming in Ladakh.
Experimental saffron cultivation on restored degraded land in Leh has produced its first blooms in just 30 days, against the usual two-month timeline. Nearly 22 grams of saffron has been collected in four days.
The development could open new avenues for commercial cultivation, agro-entrepreneurship and local economic growth.

This is arguably the best podcast from Monks & Warriors. Lt Col Subhrapratim Bose, SM, NSG and Special Group veteran is kind of soldier every commander will be delighted to have. Men like him turned the ride against militancy in J&K. What he has done in his service is astonishing. Not to be missed podcast, both part 1 and part 2.

Just a small school in a village.
Children of absolutely poor families but the warmth, cheer and sheer joy is far beyond any richest community schools.
Every trip we make to this school is humbling.
Parents, most of them don't pay up because they can't but the school run by a young couple who themselves don't have the resources don't stop the children from coming to school.
They are far more rich than the richest.
Do contribute a little to any such school with a little time and little resource.
Governments can't do. MPs and MLAs will not.
But we can.
Not for tax saving but for just putting your heart in right place.
Trust me, the joy of spending few minutes in such school talking to children is a feeling beyond all possessions.
It is Not charity. It is soul refreshing.
To youth who want to change the world and country.
Start little. Start in neighbourhood poor children school. Not by pointing fingers but by getting up doing something positive.

If given a choice, I will still choose having children.
Today my little boy hugged me and said he is waiting for me at home and I should come back soon. I don't know what achievement in life tops this one!
This is Mirzapur famous girl Shweta Tripathi.
On a recent podcast with Soha, she admitted why she chose not to have a child.
She said:
"I think once you become a mother, you become a superhuman.
It takes a lot of courage, strength, and sacrifice, and it's very tough. It is not just about the child but also about taking care of the house, also taking care of the adult child. And I don't want to be the only one carrying those responsibilities.
I have met women and asked them about having children, and they said that if given a choice today, they might not have children."
