An critical part of evaluating policy changes is researching their clinical impact.
@SoheiKuriMDPhD & @ScottLundyMDPhD found that state-level IVF mandates were associated with expanded access (⬆️% of births from ART) while maintaining safety.

Successful bootcamp week of @UNC_SOM’s Transition to Residency course. Refreshed some abdominal anatomy, practiced robotic skills, & learned how to place central lines and chest tubes! Huge thanks to all the surgery faculty and residents who took the time to teach us this week 🔪

Married less than a week before Match Day 2026, Christina Lopez Cobos and Josh Lopez nervously opened their envelopes side by side. Some outcomes meant long‑distance by plane — instead, both matched at UNC. ❤️

Right now at the @HHSGov National Conference on Women’s Health @drrachelrubin and @MCliftonMD are talking about the important updates to GSM care, including the AUA guideline and the removal of the black box warning.
Dr. Rubin emphasizes how we have to get loud about GSM care, including prescribing vaginal estrogen and encouraging other doctors to not be afraid to prescribe life saving help.

The AUA is proud to announce a new formal partnership with the @HHSGov, including the Office of the Deputy Secretary for Women’s Health, @US_FDA, and @CDCgov. This partnership establishes a coordinated federal–professional society effort to advance awareness, education, and evidence-based clinical practice related to GSM, recurrent urinary tract infections, and the safe, appropriate use of vaginal estrogen therapy in postmenopausal women.
Thank you @MaureenCones for making the monumental announcement at the HHS National Conference on Women’s Health.

AUA continues to lead the charge in elevating men’s health at the national level. In case you missed it, this week we proudly partnered with @RepTroyCarter and @RepGregMurphy to create and introduce the State of Men’s Health Act (H.R. 7602), a bipartisan milestone aimed at improving health outcomes for millions of men and families across the country.
From prostate and testicular cancer to diabetes, heart disease, and mental health, men face serious health challenges that demand coordinated federal attention. This bill provides that pathway, and AUA has been a leading voice in getting it to this point.
We thank Reps. Carter and Murphy for their bipartisan leadership and will continue working to see this bill through to the finish line. #AUAAdvocacy
