Not sure if anyone still uses Twitter these days(!), but I want to get the word out that I will soon be hiring 2 postdocs (and recruiting PhD students) to join me at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. All things ocean, carbon, and climate. (1/2)

NEW preprint on #MachineLearning in #oceanography, led by the amazing Maike Sonnewald. arxiv.org/abs/2104.12506 It has *not* yet been through peer review; comments and suggestions from the community are very welcome!
Noteworthy differences in the 24-h snowfall forecasts for the NE U.S. this Friday from GFSv15 (operational) & GFSv16 (parallel). GFSv15 shows very little snowfall, while GFSv16 shows a major event. ECMWF forecasts are more in line w/ the parallel GFS. *Be careful of 10:1 ratios!*
