The real test is whether those agents can write back into the CRM under the same rules the rest of the motion uses. Most teams still lose the signal at the handoff. The answer is No.. you need a GTM OS. Grok is the best IMO but class is right there with it.

Dan Patrick believes Larry Bird at his best was better than LeBron James.
“Larry Bird at his best was better than LeBron James. And we truly believe that.”
Bird’s shooting, basketball IQ, clutch gene, and competitive fire made him one of the most feared players of his era. He didn’t need elite athleticism to dominate. He outsmarted defenders, delivered in the biggest moments, and made greatness look effortless.
LeBron has his own incredible legacy, but prime Larry Bird is a different kind of conversation.
Do you agree with Dan Patrick? Was Larry Legend at his peak better than LeBron?

🚫 A multi-channel sequence on an unqualified list is just spam with more inboxes.
👔 As a CRO who has built and rebuilt GTM engines through multiple exits, I have watched teams add LinkedIn, email, and dialer steps before they had an ICP or a real buying window. Volume went up. Meetings that close did not.
🎯 Confirm fit and intent first. Then the sequence can run across channels without training the market to ignore you.
🛠️ That is the stack we put in at LNZ Ventures. Research, score, then sequence. Not the other way around.
🍺 TL;DR legends:
Channels do not create pipeline. A confirmed ICP and a live signal do. Sequence only after both are true.
How many of this week’s sends would survive that filter?

🏷️ Selling a company is not “find a buyer.” It is timing, positioning, and the kind of deal you actually want.
🧭 LNZ reviews revenue quality, earnings, buyer fit, and whether you are ready for a productive process. You do not need a CIM or a finished data room to start.
💬 First conversation is a free business valuation talk. Confidential. High-level numbers and timing are enough.

Customer concentration is one of the fastest ways to get a haircut in a $5M–$300M business sale.
If two or three logos are the book, the buyer is not buying a company. They are buying a renewal risk. Diligence will price that immediately.
Start before you go to market. Widen the logo base. Document expansion inside the big accounts so they look durable, not accidental or coincidental. Show that new pipeline is not dependent on the same three relationships the founder is working.
In SaaS this shows up as one whale and a thin mid-market motion. Fix the mix while you still control the story. After the CIM goes out, it is just a discount.

Most onboarding starts after the contract is signed.
That is late. The buying committee already formed opinions during the sale. If only the champion knows how implementation will work, you closed a deal that CS has to rescue.
Bring the users, IT, and the operator who will live with the product into the process before legal is done. Show the first 30 days. Name owners. Kill the surprise that shows up in week two.
Pre-sale onboarding is not extra work. It is how you protect NRR while the ink is still wet.

Most customer advisory boards are a thank-you dinner with a slide deck.
That wastes the room. The people in that meeting already bought, already implemented, and already know where the deal gets stuck. Use them to accelerate live opportunities.
Bring a real buying-committee objection. Ask how they sold it internally. Ask who almost killed it. Then introduce a prospect to the right customer before procurement starts inventing risk.
An advisory board that never touches an open deal is branding. An advisory board that shortens a cycle is distribution.

AI changed coverage math. Most territories still look like 2019.
Reps can research faster, personalize faster, and work more accounts without adding headcount. That does not mean you should dump 400 logos on every AE. It means the constraint is no longer activity. It is judgment, access, and deal quality.
Rebuild territories around accounts that can actually close, not around equal account counts. Give AEs fewer, better names and let AI handle the coverage work that used to justify a bloated patch.
If the map still assumes every rep needs volume to stay busy, you designed for motion, not revenue.

Most partner pipeline dies in the CRM.
Sales ignores it because it is late, loosely qualified, and missing the context an AE needs to run a real deal. Then leadership asks why partner sourced revenue is flat.
Make partner leads look like sales leads. Same ICP. Same next step. Same notes on who cares and why now. If a partner cannot name the problem, the buyer, and the meeting, it is not pipeline.
The AE will work what they trust. Build a handoff that protects their time and partner sourced stops being a junk drawer.

Security and procurement review is where most deals stall.
The teams that win treat it as part of the sale, not an afterthought. They put the packet together early: architecture, data handling, SOC reports, implementation owners, and a clear answer to “what happens if this fails.” Then they walk procurement through it before legal has to chase them.
That changes the conversation. Instead of the buyer’s risk team discovering gaps, you are the vendor that already did the work. Review becomes proof of maturity, not a reason to delay.
If security and procurement only show up after verbal yes, you trained the deal to stall.

Renewal risk is usually treated as a CS problem.
That is late. Most churn is priced, scoped, or staffed in the original sale.
If the AE sold a package the buyer cannot adopt, stacked logos that were never going to expand, or skipped the people who would have to live with the product, CS inherits a broken deal. NRR then looks like a retention issue when it started as a sales issue.
Put renewal risk into the pre-sales motion. Ask who owns adoption. Ask what happens if the champion leaves. Ask whether usage can justify the second year before you celebrate the first.
The cleanest expansion stories start in discovery, not in Q4 of year one.

Multi-product selling fails when the buyer has to assemble the offer themselves.
Teams walk in with five SKUs, three packages, and a “we can start anywhere” story. That feels flexible to the seller. To a buying committee it feels like homework.
The better motion is sequenced. Lead with the product that solves the urgent problem. Attach the second product only when the first one has a clear owner, a use case, and a reason to expand. Keep the commercial story to one outcome, not a catalog.
If the AE needs a 20-slide map to explain how the products fit, the packaging is the problem. Buyers do not want more options. They want a path that does not create political risk inside their company.
Sell the first win cleanly. Expand after the first win is real.

⚠️ Contingency planning for stalled deals should start before the deal goes dark.
Most teams wait until the buyer stops responding, then scramble. By that point, options are already limited.
🎯 The stronger motion is to define stall signals in advance. Delayed replies, missing stakeholders, slipping next steps, and vague internal reviews should all trigger a pre-built response path.
That path might be a new champion introduction, a tighter mutual action plan, a reframed value case, or an explicit pause instead of an awkward fade-out.
📈 Teams that plan for stalls recover more deals and keep forecasts more honest.
They treat silence as a signal, not a surprise.
💡 From what I’ve seen, the difference is preparation.
Hoping the deal comes back is not a strategy. Building the recovery path early is.
🍸 TL;DR legends:
Contingency planning for stalled deals works before they go dark. Define the signals early and pre-build the next move so you are not improvising after momentum is already gone.

📊 Board-level revenue storytelling is becoming a core CRO skill.
Too many GTM updates still stop at pipeline coverage, activity, and last quarter’s bookings. Boards want to know how execution connects to enterprise value.
🎯 The stronger narrative ties GTM motion to durable outcomes: net revenue retention, expansion quality, sales efficiency, customer concentration, and the reliability of the forecast.
When those links are clear, the board can evaluate whether the revenue engine is building a more valuable company, not just a busier sales team.
📈 This requires translating operational detail into strategic language.
Cycle times, win rates, and mix shifts only matter if they explain risk, margin, and future cash generation.
💡 From what I’ve seen, CROs who can tell that story earn more trust and more investment.
The ones who stay in the weeds leave the board guessing.
🍸 TL;DR legends:
Board-level revenue storytelling works when GTM execution is connected to enterprise value. Pipeline updates are not enough. Show how the motion creates a more durable, more valuable company.

📊 The shift from activity-based coaching to outcome-based coaching is long overdue.
Most managers still coach to call volume, email count, and meeting numbers. Those metrics are easy to track but often disconnected from actual results.
🎯 Outcome-based coaching focuses on what actually moves deals: win rate by stage, average deal size, cycle length, expansion rate, and the quality of discovery and mutual action plans.
When coaching starts from the outcomes, the conversation changes. Reps get guidance on judgment and skill instead of just more activity.
📈 Teams that make this shift usually see cleaner pipeline, better forecast accuracy, and stronger skill development.
Activity still matters, but it becomes a supporting input rather than the primary scoreboard.
💡 From what I’ve seen, the managers who coach to outcomes build more capable teams.
The ones who only coach to activity often create busy but underperforming organizations.
🍸 TL;DR legends:
Activity-based coaching measures effort. Outcome-based coaching measures results. High-performing teams coach to the numbers that actually move revenue.

🔍 Internal win/loss intelligence loops that actually change messaging are still rare.
Most companies collect win/loss feedback and then file it away. The insight never reaches the people writing the next campaign or the next talk track.
🎯 The better systems close the loop.
They turn every closed deal (won or lost) into specific updates to messaging, positioning, competitive responses, and discovery questions and then push those updates back into the field quickly.
📈 When this works, the entire revenue engine gets sharper over time instead of repeating the same mistakes.
The teams that treat win/loss as a living input to GTM consistently improve conversion rates and reduce late-stage surprises.
💡 From what I’ve seen, the difference is speed and ownership.
If the learning stays trapped in a slide deck or a RevOps folder, it creates no leverage.
🍸 TL;DR legends:
Win/loss intelligence only creates value when it actually changes messaging and behavior. Close the loop or the insight is wasted.

⚠️ Contingency planning for stalled deals is still one of the most underused disciplines in enterprise sales.
Most teams only react once a deal has already gone quiet. By then the recovery options are limited.
🎯 The better approach is to define clear stall signals early — delayed responses, missing stakeholders, slipping next steps - and pre-build contingency paths before the deal goes dark.
That might mean introducing a new champion, reframing the value, adjusting the mutual action plan, or creating a controlled pause instead of an awkward silence.
📈 Teams that plan for stalls in advance recover more deals and waste less late-stage energy.
It also improves forecast honesty because risk is acknowledged earlier instead of hoped away.
💡 From what I’ve seen, the difference is preparation.
Waiting until the deal is already cold is usually too late.
🍸 TL;DR legends:
Contingency planning for stalled deals works best before they go dark. Define the signals early and pre-build recovery paths so you’re not improvising when momentum disappears.

🔄 Commercial agility is becoming essential in long, multi-threaded enterprise deals.
Traditional linear sales processes break down when buying committees shift, priorities change, and timelines stretch across quarters.
🎯 The teams winning these deals build frameworks that let them adapt without losing momentum.
They maintain clear mutual action plans, update stakeholder maps continuously, and adjust value messaging as the buyer’s internal reality evolves.
📈 Rigid playbooks create friction. Agile commercial systems keep the deal moving even when the path changes.
This requires tighter coordination between sales, product, and leadership so responses stay fast and coherent.
💡 From what I’ve seen, the difference shows up in fewer stalled deals and cleaner late-stage progression.
Long cycles reward the teams that can stay flexible without becoming chaotic.
🍸 TL;DR legends: Commercial agility frameworks help teams navigate long, multi-threaded enterprise cycles without losing control. Adaptability beats rigid process when buyers and priorities keep shifting.
