Samaila Ibrahim Kaigama has been in detention since July after appearing on Channels Television.
He claimed that the government paid ransom for the release of the Ngoshe children. Shortly after the interview, the DSS arrested him. He was charged with terrorism and remanded at Kuje Prison.
His trial is scheduled for 13 November. The case remains ongoing.

Let me remind Nigerians that the woman who will be in charge/responsible for the following “critical” roles in the 2027 general elections is Oluyemi Titilayo Adeyemi-Showunmi, the wife of the spokesperson for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 elections.
-Distribute (sensitive and non-sensitive) electoral materials across Nigeria.
-Recruit, train, and redeploy INEC ad hoc staff who will conduct the elections across Nigeria.
-Coordinate (and decide what happens at) polling units across the country.
-Supervise collation and returning officers (who will be in charge of the votes/results) across Nigeria.
I can’t help but imagine how they live together. While the husband is occupied with strategizing what to preach to convince people to vote for Tinubu, the wife is busy calculating how to coordinate the electoral process that is critical to Tinubu either winning the election or being kicked out.
Of course, the defenders of the absurd say that there is no clash of interest.✍️
