I actually don't and can't understand why we're not praying Al-Qunut in every single masjid in this country.
How do we expect to overcome the evil and helplessness that defines our communities as of today without the help of Allah?
Have we lost our connection to Our Rabb so badly that we'd rather nag and complain as we helplessly watch while our communities and even country is being ravaged by insecurity instead of turning to The One who is Our Rabb and Sustainer?
Make it make sense, because it doesn't.
Every person who prays in a masjid has the social responsibility to request and insist that Al-Qunut be recited in that masjid. If the imam refuses, then you KNOW he is complicit.
This is the least we can do.
AL-QUNUT THESE PROBLEMS AWAY

BREAKING UPDATE
Mercy Simon and her daughter Talita were reportedly kidnapped on 9 November 2025 along the Buratai–Biu–Bunuyadi road in Damaturu.
According to the family, the kidnappers initially demanded ₦50 million as ransom but have since reduced the amount to ₦12 million. The family has described their situation as difficult and is appealing for assistance.
More details as they come.
If you come to my clinic and I bill you 1.5m for CS, remember that 1.5m for CS is not too much.
I am not ripping you off.
Did I force you to pay?
People are charging 40k for CS, book them.

According to the information shared about her situation, her family has reportedly paid ₦40 million in ransom, yet she remains with her captors, who are demanding another ₦10 million.
And now, the most heartbreaking part: Jamila is reportedly bleeding heavily while pregnant
Just imagine what this woman is going through right now. Imagine the fear, the pain and the uncertainty. Imagine being pregnant, bleeding, held against your will, and unable to reach a hospital or receive the medical attention you desperately need.
Imagine being her family, knowing that she is in this condition and being unable to bring her home.
Inna lillahi wa’inna ilaihi raji’oon 😭💔
Please let’s include her in our prayers, don’t forget to add Borno schoolchildren and other captives. 💔😩

The NCDC has reportedly approved ₦100,000 weekly support for persons placed in isolation or quarantine amid the Ebola outbreak.
But I hope adequate provisions have also been made for Resident Doctors and all frontline health workers who will be at the forefront of containing this outbreak?
Those who care for patients, conduct contact tracing, manage suspected cases, and risk exposure in the line of duty must not be forgotten.
The welfare, safety, and protection of our healthcare workers must remain a priority. Frontline workers cannot be expected to fight a public health emergency without adequate support, appropriate protective equipment, and clear welfare arrangements.
Protect the protectors. Support the frontline. Safeguard our healthcare workers. @nard_nigeria @mohagirei @NCDCgov @Fmohnigeria

Shey he should’ve kissed the judge instead of his wife? What am I missing? Ariko Easter mass kidnapping victims are still in captivity 204 days later, Borno school children too have spent 164 days in captivity, 500 worshippers kidnapped from a Friday mosque in Niger are still in the forest 65 days later. STOP BEING EASILY DISTRACTED!!!!
I just watched a video of a man at the market. Someone gave him 8k and told him to keep 2k for himself and give the remaining 6k to the person sitting next to him.
He asked why he should keep only 2k while the other person gets 6k. The man told him that if he couldn’t accept the arrangement, he should return the money, meaning neither of them would get anything.
He returned the money saying if he give that person 6k he cannot sleep at night and people were laughing, but I didn’t find it funny at all.
What kind of mentality is that? It’s not even your money, and you’re getting 2k for free, yet you’d rather lose everything just because someone else is getting more than you.
Imagine being so bothered by someone else’s blessing that you’re willing to lose your own just to make sure they don’t benefit either.
Walahi some people would rather see both of you suffer than watch you succeed more than them. And that’s what scares me, because imagine how far someone with that kind of mindset would go when it comes to something more important than money.

This is big news, and it's really about food.
The trial (University of Colorado, 206 pregnant women) gave 9,000 mg/day of phosphatidylcholine from 16 weeks until delivery. At ages 3 to 4, their kids averaged 7.78 IQ points higher than placebo. The authors call phosphatidylcholine "the form of choline occurring naturally in food."
The best sources of choline (NIH):
Beef liver, 3 oz: 356 mg
Eggs, 1 large: 147 mg
Beef top round, 3 oz: 117 mg
Ground beef, 3 oz: 72 mg
Chicken breast, 3 oz: 72 mg
Compare broccoli: 31 mg per 1/2 cup.
The authors suggest about 900 mg of choline a day in pregnancy. That's about 6 eggs, or a serving of liver plus a few eggs. Or about 29 half-cup servings of broccoli.
Meanwhile NIH says 90 to 95% of pregnant women don't even reach the basic 450 mg/day, and most prenatal vitamins have little if any choline.
(Yes, they used a supplement. Attention problems didn't change, and a third of the moms dropped out before the 4-year visit. The IQ result was still significant.)
For decades we told pregnant women to fear egg yolks and red meat. I covered choline in a video (see below).
I suspect Choline is conditionally Essential in pregnancy. So why are we still steering moms away from the foods richest in it?

Only Allah knows the entire truth of what happened between Alimat and her husband, but going by the husband's defence via third parties, I have a few observations.
I'm not yet a certified counsellor, but from my experience mediating in marriages, I can categorically say that, Alimat's only crime against her husband is her desperate desire to have her own money. She wanted to work and earn so she could leave the marriage. Her husband knew this and deliberately frustrated her efforts and will rather destroy her and his children before letting her go in peace.
As for his allegations, not once did I see where she said she paid the rent. She said she supported him, which is normal for many women in marriage.
As for the terminated pregnancies, this isn't new among couples in the UK even though its wrong. Some are mutually decided between husband and wife. The fact that the husband's consent does not appear on paper doesn't automatically mean the woman made the decision alone. But then, if the husband claims she denied him conjugal rights, how did she get pregnant three good times? Except he is accusing her infidelity as insinuated by car dropping her few houses away from their home. If that were to be the case, we all know that's enough for a proper divorce, not the forged one he did.
He said she abandoned the kids to go to work, but she shared a WhatsApp message where you told her not to ask you about your schedules again.
Now, telling a woman who is desperate to make money so she can leave you that she cannot work and earn is like keeping her in bondage. What happened to sitting her down and discussing the kind of jobs that would give her the flexibility you wanted? What happened to standing in for her with the kids while she worked within the hours you both agreed on.
Many of us have friends over there doing this successfully and living happily.
He even said in the message she shared that household where both spouse work is that of kafr, which clearly shows his position on her working.
Now that you have left her with those same children in Nigeria, where she has no choice but to work longer hours to cater for them, how exactly have you solved the problem? The same woman you accused of abandoning her children is now left to provide for them. Make it make sense!
One would expect that a man whose gheerah has supposedly reached 100%, would go through divorce as directed by Allah himself, or forgery is no longer a sin when it involves your esteemed self?
Islam has stipulated rules for marriage, divorce and virtually every aspect of our lives. Why take shortcuts if she actually did all these terrible things you are accusing her of?
You all know the Surah that permits marrying two, three and four wives offhand, but how many of you can quote the verses that talk about kindness to wives, women's rights in marriage and the proper conduct of divorce?
She tinted her hair. So what? Did Allah forbid every form of hair tinting? The ruling depends on the circumstances, but since when did tinting one's hair become evidence that a woman is a bad wife? ( I actually not only tinted mine, I locked it and my husband is insanely in love with it, as long as i keep i covered)
You also claimed to have bought all her hijabs. But why buy hijabs for someone you claim doesn't wear them? And besides, whose responsibility is it to provide for his wife?
She said you always called her an ingrate. Where is the lie? A man who counts buying hijabs for his wife as a special deed, imagine what else he will brag about doing for her.
Nobody is saying Alimat is perfect or that she did nothing wrong in the marriage. Nobody knows what happened behind closed doors, and only Allah knows the entire truth.
But what we are saying is that ending a marriage should not mean annihilating your spouse as punishment for disobedience, not even minding how it will affect the children.
Alimat's husband allegations reported through a third party:
1. He said Alimat didn't pay house rent.
2. He said Alimat wasn't using hijab in the UK but only tainting her head.
3. He said Alimat was going out to work without prior arrangements with him that would enable one of them to be around with the kids.
4. He claimed his wife was aborting pregnancy in the UK and she aborted two pregnancies against his decision.
5. He said Alimat joined him after 4months that he arrived in the UK
6. He said Alimat wasn't responsible for paying his school fees
7. He said he lived in a free house owned by his brother for 13 months before he got his ours.
8. He claimed he didn't travel with Alimat's passport
9. He said it was their neighbours in the UK that threatened to report them to the police if they kept leaving their kids alone in their house.
10. He claimed Alimat never paid his house rent in the UK.
11. He claimed all the direct debits was from his accounts.
12. He claimed his wife got a 44 hour contract without his permission.
