USYNT Goalkeeper Coach @CamSauro on looking forward with the fed's goalkeeping investment and our role as fans. Really good talk. More to come from this! teapawt.org/goalkeeperpod/status/2…
US Soccer fans, it's time to demand more. Your role as dreamers is to want your team to represent the USA on the world stage. We must aim to be a top federation globally, not just regionally. This drive comes from you. #USSoccer #Accountability #WorldCup

The schools that don’t sponsor men’s soccer need to worry about who and what they support, not men’s soccer. Put the student-athletes first.

Well said Randy. That you for making a common sense observation. It is nice that people have opinions on this, but maybe we should stick to the soccer student- athletes and soccer coaches that this affects. This is a POSITIVE moment, please stop painting it otherwise!!
Replying to @bsmolka
No disrespect but all of you opposed for this reason fails to mention we are playing games in the spring now Our strength staff, athletic trainers are already working in the spring. Our SID’s to an extent as well. Facilities are being used for spring games So SID’s and a few facility people have to work 15 hours a semester longer on game days and that outweighs student health, safety, welfare, and by the way academics? Recruiting dual nationals is a complicated process. For players, they are emotional decisions tied into national and cultural identity. For one potential #USMNT dual-nat, it could be even bigger. Not every process is as simple as "come play for the U.S." nytimes.com/athletic/7729960…

Hosting the World Cup should lead to monumental shifts to bring the game further along in the US. The time is now to adopt the vision of coach @SashoCirovski and others to make college soccer an even more viable development pathway for 18-23 yr olds between youth and pro soccer.
With about one week left in the effort to rescind the D1 men’s soccer model, please read my updated statement below.

.@Brewers lead hitting coach Eric Theisen talks about their "drag 'em" mentality at the plate: "You can make an out and still be productive, still help the team win. You can take a piece with 'em and make it easier on the next guy."

American soccer is forever anchored to the least ambitious, in and outside of college soccer.
Men's college soccer celebrated its move to a fall-spring season. But behind the scenes, there's a strong push to block it. ~150 schools have submitted rescission votes. The NCAA D-1 board will discuss today. News + explainer, free to read @TheAthletic: nytimes.com/athletic/7726710…

Nice to know in the age of physicality and needing things now, 2 of the last 3 Ballon d’Or winners got dropped from a youth academy and as men can barely break 32km/h sprinting. 🧠 🧠 🧠 👑

World-class goalkeepers pull off match-winning saves by combining simple movements into one fantastic action. (Explanation) ⬇️ Take Spain National Team and @ArsenalWFC GK @marisabelrr1 recent late game match-saver against the USWNT. Misa demonstrates elite tactical foresight: an unobstructed central starting position, a subtle lean to the ball line, and a clean reset on the strike. Instead of defaulting to a chaotic push-off, she uses quick lateral micro-movements to track the ball's flight and safely steer it around the post. Do you train steering in traffic with obstructed views? How do you layer it into your sessions? Full breakdowns @goalkeeperpod w/ @letsallsoccer @michaelmagid Goalkeeper technical analysis on shot stopping, positioning, and elite decision-making featuring Misa Rodríguez, Spain Women's National Team, and Arsenal Women. Learn how high-level goalkeepers handle obstructed views, lateral micro-movements, ball flight tracking, and save selection under pressure. The one where Michael is making a sincere point and I’m just cracking open a cold one with the boys
Goalkeepers are ALWAYS to blame for mistakes because the youth soccer culture does not encourage them to take risks on the pitch. Breakdown Below⬇️ I hear it all the time. Team Coach: "I wish my goalkeeper could play with confidence, like this player over here." — Points to their center forward who mishits a shot on goal. That same coach, when their goalkeeper takes an awkward prep touch and the ball bounces off them into the shin of an opposing attacker: "What are you doing?! What were you thinking?! Do I need to find someone that can play with their feet?!" Do you see the problem here? Both players performed actions that were unsuccessful, yet one is praised and the other is shunned despite both being correct on intent. Which of these players is going to be more willing to accept more responsibility? The goalkeeper or the forward? If we want to build goalkeepers that are excited to take on responsibility, we need to change our coaching behaviors around mistakes, and praise the intent and commitment to an action over the end result. How do your club environments manage possession mistakes with your keepers? Full weekly panel conversations on the Inside the 18 Goalkeeper Podcast w/ @letsallsoccer @michaelmagid

You make one tweet about creating a new pathway to American citizenship and accounts flood to yell at you, but also saying they’re not xenophobic lol. Genuinely can’t tell who is a bot and who is just an old person on this app.

This coach is at his third school in three years but points to the “overflowing transfer portal” to prove that the players are in it too much for the money (??) Iowa State bought out his contract from his previous school for $4 million. Glad he finally found the “right fit” for him and that money wasn’t a factor in any of this lol. Hilarious when coaches criticize the players for taking more money when they’re doing it at an exponentially higher rate as them.
Worth two minutes of your time to hear Jimmy Rogers lay bare one of the main ills facing big-time college sports and the athletes themselves. Iowa State Daily's @henry_annen asked Rogers what he needs from new AD Jared Benko to elevate Iowa State football. Good stuff.

What if we just gave them a pathway to becoming an American citizens upon completing their degree? Or is there another reason why people are mad at foreigners coming to our country? 🤔
Missouri State is a public university funded by American taxpayers. Their men’s soccer team has 27 players. 26 of them are from other countries. 1 American. Is this what “college sports” looks like now? @Kayceeunplugged reports on a troubling trend. sportandstate.com/2026/10/20…
