Cough cough …. For anyone who doubted me 😏
I’ve been told by some very reputable and reliable sources that The X Factor is NOT making a comeback, and that the recent noise around its “return” may in fact be little more than a PR stunt.
Now, I have my own theories as to why this has suddenly been pushed into the press…
*cough cough* Cheryl joining The Voice… the long overdue scrutiny and investigations surrounding David Walliams…
But if this IS the case, then for me it only further raises very serious questions about the manipulation of public narrative, the relationship between powerful individuals and sections of the press and media, and the extent to which stories can be strategically placed, amplified or redirected when it serves a particular purpose.
Because if an entire “comeback” narrative can be manufactured simply to dominate headlines, distract attention or shift public conversation, then that should concern everyone.
I’d genuinely love to hear your theories.

イーロン「誰が正しい意見を決めるんだ？」

イーロン「自分が賛成する意見だけを守るのは簡単だ」
記者「はい」
イーロン「でも、反対意見が出てきたときは？」
記者「……」
イーロン「そこで初めて、言論の自由に対する考え方が試されるんじゃないかな」
これ考えさせられる。
もちろん言論の自由と誹謗中傷や違法な投稿への対応は別問題。
Xの運営方針についても賛否が分かれている。
ただイーロンが掲げる「自由な議論の場」という理想には一つの問いがある。
自分と違う意見をどこまで受け入れられるか。
自分に都合のいい意見だけを歓迎するのは簡単。
でも本当に難しいのは自分が不快に感じる意見と向き合うこと。
これはSNSだけじゃなく組織運営でも同じだと思う。

Slains Castle is a dramatic cliff-top ruin perched high above the North Sea in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, just outside the village of Cruden Bay.
The original fortress (Old Slains Castle) sat a few miles away until King James VI destroyed it in 1594.
