Yet @wesstreeting’s DHSC is still funding PA programmes, and paying them more than resident doctors despite the fact that they are woefully unqualified. Same with ACPs. He will pay more for a medically unqualified person to play doctor than actually pay doctors. 1/

Physician assistants start on 25% more pay than doctors and can’t even prescribe paracetamol. They have guaranteed job progression. Doctors do not have guaranteed progression and most do not progress! Shouldn’t they be paid at least the same as those who can’t sign a drug chart?

BREAKING: Over 50 MPs have now backed my Parliamentary Motion for a Wealth Tax. A 2% tax on assets over £10 million would raise £24 Billion a year. At the Budget, we need to tax extreme wealth - not ordinary people.

I keep on getting posts about how 'our children' need us to reduce the disability benefits bill. But you know what I think our children need? To know that the state will have a safety net for them if they are ill or disabled, or become so. To know we have each other's backs.

Nothing will ever change when we have the most senior people in Government covering things up and gaslighting those harmed!! #Valproatescandal #Justice #Maternity
“People are just terrified that if they're honest about what went wrong, they're going to get scapegoated.” The NHS has a “culture of cover-up”, former Health Secretary Jeremy  Hunt says. Maternity campaigner Kayleigh Griffiths says it’s more a “blaming culture”.

There is a huge fucking difference between policing speech and asking you not to refer to disabled people as “retards” and “spastics”. That’s not seeking language policing, that’s just asking you to respect other human beings. It’s not too much to ask.

Why do the ableds think that 'disabled' is a diagnosis? You don't get diagnosed as 'disabled'. You don't get 'registered disabled'.

Very sad to be told student midwives have received emails from universities telling them not to speak to me or other media about this story. Just to repeat - any student midwife can contact me and no one will know. I will protect your identity.
I'd really like to hear from more student midwives about what's going on during your training. Happy to be contacted via DM or at [email protected] - anonymity is not a problem. #maternity #maternitysafety

This Govt needs to be ashamed of itself, ignoring the thousands disabled by Valproate since 1973, following 14yrs campaigning, the Cumberlege Review and the Hughes Report & still they stonewall these children!!
