Update: The hearing in USA v. California is happening today in a Los Angeles courtroom at 1:00 PM. Currently, there are 106 filings / orders in this case. By my count there are 16 attorneys appearing, mostly from the State of CA, the ROV's office, or are their Amici Curie filers / Interveners.
This is for all the marbles folks. Will California be allowed to continue to count non-citizen mail in ballots?, even after they have been credibly shown to have non citizens on their rolls, received ballots and voting? Or will the Democrat Judge order CA to halt the counting of ballots and segregate those 20,000 or so that have been alleged by DOJ as non citizen ballots.

An AI-generated voice impersonating Nithya Raman has triggered ethics complaints against a super PAC backing Karen Bass.
Meanwhile, Rick Caruso, who spent millions trying to defeat Bass in 2022, says he’s voting for her.

BREAKING: A federal appeals court just rejected the Trump administration’s emergency bid to block mail ballots from more than 20,000 suspected noncitizens in California pending citizenship verification.
The Ninth Circuit dismissed the appeal in a 2-1 ruling, finding it lacked jurisdiction.

"California has now admitted there is NO MECHANISM to challenge a mail-in ballot. The challenge mechanism involving sequestration and cancellation of a vote is at the precinct for in-person voting. There is no provision in California law for challenging mail-in votes."
Far from frivolous -- the problem is practical and lack of jurisdiction because didn't give Dist. Ct. time to act. Part of that is on the Dist Ct for taking 4 days to settle assignment issue.
Bennett focused on State expert saying "This can't be done as envisioned by Feds".
SCOTUS would say "We have less than perfect election processes all over the country every year. Problems identified in Calif are up to political branches to fix."
BUT -- Calif has now admitted there is NO MECHANISM to challenge a mail-in ballot.
The challenge mechanism involving sequestration and cancellation of a vote is at the precinct for in-person voting. There is no provision in California law for challenging mail-in votes.
So the Calif system is rigged by requiring attestation only, and then having no process where that attestation can be challenged such that an illegal vote won't be counted.
Once the ballots are mailed, the illegal votes are baked in.
DOJ has other option now -- prosecute all who return ballots. Issue GJ subs to the State of California for voting records of every person they suspect.
Don't need PC for a GJ subpoena.
This is how California wants to play it,.

Are noncitizens given ballots after being erroneously registered to vote by @CA_Dem CalvinBall rules?
Yes, they are.
A nonzero amount of them are voting right now.
Ensuring that those votes don't disenfranchise US citizens is vital.

Every housing provider (landlord) is outnumbered 100 to 1 by tenants. They are permanently a minority voting bloc at the ballot box. If you let them, tenants will vote to have their landlords killed if it means lower rent. It’s up to responsible politicians to understand how housing works, and roll back the onerous burdens on housing providers that ultimately make life harder for tenants, too. I know it’s tempting to give infinity concessions and handouts to the majority voting bloc, but tenants aren’t automatically right just because they don’t own property and you’ve deemed them oppressed. The housing market has been so bafflingly distorted by communist rules.

Lifelong moderate liberal here.
With Democrats nominating radicals like Abdul El-Sayed, and Democratic Party leaders cheering him on, I think this is the year where it makes sense for all common-sense, moderate, reasonable Democrats like myself to vote straight ticket GOP

Trump DOJ writes in its emergency filing today:
"California also does not refute that it will tabulate ballots from individuals
charged with federal voting crimes or that it has registered upwards of 1,500 noncitizens to vote in federal elections before.
The number of noncitizen voters California has admitted to registering
(1,500) could change the outcome of an election."

Illegal immigrants do not have the same rights as US citizens, under the law. You should adjust your official statement because it’s objectively misleading and wrong.

Worth noting that in its 9th Circuit filing, California acknowledges its processing ballots. The Trump Admin alleges there are illegal ballots in there, given to non-citizens. CA claims it’s too late to segregate ballots.

I’ve said this before, both sides have a glaring blind spot:
Progressives believe they’re the compassionate ones, when they support ends justifying the means, and policies and ideologies that destroy people’s lives.
Republicans believe they’re the personal-responsibility patriots, except when it comes to being politically involved, particularly in their local government, then it’s all—Leave me Alone and Get off my Lawn
