Namaste friends, I predicted a "bloodbath for the Republican party" in 2026 midterm elections in several videos (e.g. recent PGurus video). Indeed there was a historic electoral tsunami!
A few words going forward:
- As I predicted long back, rebellion against Trump will start and intensify in the Republican party in 2027.
- Indian government will face flak from Democrats for Hindu nationalism, minority oppression, being far-right etc. But that rhetoric will not make any difference on the ground. Moreover, India will now have an upper hand when trade talks are resumed with a weakened Trump.
- Some political pundits are predicting that this victory will bite Democracts in 2028 and cost them the 2028 presidential election. But my assessment is that Democrats will handle this stalemate between legislative and executive wings well. I still stand by my mid-2020 prediction that US presidency will change party every 4 years throughout the decade.
- In general, US economy has been slowly weakening for nearly 2 decades (though stock market does well, regular folks and middle class is in trouble). This will make US swing from contrasting alternatives without finding a meaningful balance. The next 2 years or even the next 4 years are not going to solve this or make any meaningful efforts to solve this.
- After moving on from Trump, Republican party will face an existential crisis reintegrating extreme MAGA elements. That will be one of the factors costing them the 2028 elections.
- But around 2028-2029, Republicans will successfully reinvent themselves such that centrists, MAGA folks etc are all happy with the agenda. Also, geopolitical changes and turbulence will help them.
- I predicted in many videos over the last year and half that Trump may leave presidency without completing the term, possibly in 2027. My confidence level in this is not very high, but around 60%.
- In the cold war with China and the effort to keep US dollar supremacy in tact, US deep state (of which the military industrial complex is a huge part), they have finished the crazy/unhinged portion of the drama (for which Trump was the face) and the rational portion of the drama will start in late 2027. Much of it may be triggered by China's actions (in reaction to what US did over the last several months). Enough damage has been done to Chinese economy and the internal and external chain reactions will force China's hand in the second half of 2027.
- I predicted pre-2020 that Trump will face the 12th house results (confinement in a prison or a mental facility or exile) before 2036. I still hold on to that assessment.
- This is NOT the end of anti-immigrant sentiment in US. Indian Americans still have to be cautious.
- In general, neither party is particularly good for Indian Americans and especially Hindu Americans. Hopefully, they'll wake up to US political realities and get in on the lobbying game in coming years.
- I predicted in 2020 that Obama will exert a great influence in US politics during 2024-2034 and the time is good for him. That seemed to go wrong in 2024, but that was more like taking a few backward steps to jump way ahead. In general, Obama's soft power will be high for the next several years (during his Virgo Chara dasa - given that 9th lord Venus is in 10th and 4th and 5th lords are in 5th, all from dasa sign Virgo).

Elon Musk has a warning for Democrats: if they investigate him after the midterm elections, he intends to retaliate.
His message is simple: those who come after him should expect consequences. Musk has also threatened to pursue the people he believes are really behind such investigations, not just the politicians involved.
But here's a question.
Why should a billionaire whose companies receive billions of dollars in federal contracts consider congressional oversight a threat?
If Musk's activities at DOGE, his business dealings, and his companies' government contracts are entirely legal and transparent, answering congressional questions should not be a problem.
SpaceX and other Musk-linked businesses have extensive financial relationships with the federal government. Taxpayers have every right to know whether those relationships involve conflicts of interest, preferential treatment, or improper influence.
Congressional oversight is not political persecution. It is a fundamental part of American democracy.
If investigations uncover serious violations, the government should examine whether existing contracts should continue, subject to applicable law.
And threatening retaliation against investigators raises questions of its own.
No billionaire is above the law. No government contractor is entitled to immunity from scrutiny. And no amount of money should buy protection from congressional accountability.
Government contracts are paid for by the American people. They are not a personal shield against the American people.

Deb Haaland was elected governor of New Mexico tonight, becoming the first Native American woman ever elected governor of any state in American history. Not the first in New Mexico, and not the first in the Southwest -- the first in 250 years of American governors. Haaland is a 35th-generation New Mexican and a citizen of the Laguna Pueblo, whose people have lived on the land that is now New Mexico since long before there was a United States -- and who will now, for the first time, see one of their own lead the state.
She defeated Republican Gregg Hull by double digits. New Mexico made history of a second kind tonight, too: it became the first state ever to elect two women of color to its highest offices, with Stephanie Garcia Richard, the former public lands commissioner, as Haaland’s lieutenant governor. Haaland will also be the state’s third woman governor in a row.
Haaland has spent her career being the first. In 2018 she and Sharice Davids of Kansas became the first two Native American women ever elected to Congress, and in 2021 she became the first Native American Cabinet secretary in the nation's history, confirmed to lead the Interior Department -- the same agency that for generations carried out the removal and forced assimilation of Native children.
"A voice like mine has never been a Cabinet secretary or at the head of the Department of Interior," she wrote at the time. "Growing up in my mother's Pueblo household made me fierce. I'll be fierce for all of us."
As secretary Haaland opened a first-of-its-kind federal investigation into the abuse of Native children at government-run boarding schools, forcing a reckoning with a history the country had spent a century avoiding -- one that had reached her own family, when her grandmother was taken as a child to one of those schools.
She raised her daughter as a single mother, relied on food stamps, and built a small salsa business to make ends meet. "I'm the only candidate who has been a single mom," she told voters during the campaign. "I'm the only candidate who worked across the aisle in Congress and got bills signed into law."
Haaland celebrated on Tuesday night before hundreds of supporters at a hotel on Laguna Pueblo land west of Albuquerque. “New Mexico’s brightest days are ahead of us,” she told the crowd, “because I believe in a New Mexico that works for all New Mexicans.” Of the generations of Native Americans who never lived to see a night like this one, she has said simply: “It is our time.”

She was beaten days after her wedding, and a court order did nothing to stop it. Ten years later, she set her husband on fire. Then she faced a murder trial without anyone properly hearing her side.
Kiranjit Ahluwalia moved to England in 1979 after an arranged marriage in India. She had barely met her husband, Deepak, before the wedding.
The violence began only days after they married. It carried on for the next ten years, and over time it grew worse and more frequent, until it was happening almost every day.
Kiranjit tried to get help. In 1983, a court ordered Deepak to stop hitting her. He did not stop. She was later granted a second order, and the beatings still continued.
She also went to her own family. They told her to stay, because leaving would bring shame on the family's honour. By 1989, she had two young sons and nowhere left to turn.
In May 1989, Deepak told her their marriage was over and refused to speak to her. He demanded money for a phone bill and threatened to beat her the next morning if she did not give it.
Later that night, he pressed a hot iron against her face and told her he would burn her if she did not leave him alone. Then he went to bed.
Kiranjit sat for about two and a half hours. Then she went outside, got petrol, and set Deepak on fire while he slept.
He was badly burned and died in hospital about ten days later. Kiranjit spoke only broken English at the time. She told a UK parliamentary committee years later that police never offered her an interpreter.
She said she begged her lawyers for one, because she had so much more to tell them. They replied that her English was good enough and she did not need it.
She wrote out 35 pages of her life story for her solicitor. Even so, she said she could not explain what had happened to her. Out of shame over the sexual abuse, and fear of her family hearing it in court, she did not give evidence at her own trial.
In December 1989, she was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Her lawyers had argued provocation, but the jury rejected it. The law at the time said provocation meant a sudden loss of self control. Kiranjit's anger had built up over ten years, and she acted hours after the last attack, so the court did not see her case as fitting.
Then a women's group called Southall Black Sisters took up her case. They had very little money, but they campaigned loudly for her release.
In 1992, her case reached the Court of Appeal. New medical evidence showed Kiranjit had been suffering from severe depression when she set the fire. That evidence had never been presented at her first trial.
Her murder conviction was replaced with manslaughter due to diminished responsibility. She was given a sentence equal to the three years and four months she had already served, and she walked out a free woman in September 1992.
Her case, R v Ahluwalia, is still taught in British law courses today. In 2007, her story was made into the film Provoked, starring Aishwarya Rai.
Kiranjit was punished first by a husband and then by a system that never properly listened to her.
If someone cannot fully explain their story in the language of the court, can the trial really be called fair?

இவளோ…..வேதஜனனி இல்லையா? வேதம் படிக்கும் குழந்தைகளை நன்றாக ரக்ஷிப்பதை விட, நம் வேதஜனனியை ஸந்தோஷப்படுத்த, வேறு ஸாதனை ஏதும் தேவையா என்ன?

The Puri Jagannath Temple and the Sensational Mysterious Story of Cyclone Amban
It was just yesterday when a dangerous cyclone rose in the Bay of Bengal. The weather department named it - Cyclone Amban*. Wind speed of 180 kilometers per hour
Puri was on high alert. All the priests had shut the temple gates and left, except for one - the 72-year-old elderly servitor, Damodar Panda
People were saying - "Panda ji, save your life, you can look after the temple later." But Panda ji said, As long as the Lord's flag is fluttering, the cyclone can't even touch the temple
And then, a strange incident happened
Cyclone Amban slammed into Puri's coast with full force. The sea surged up 20 feet. Right in front of the Jagannath Temple's Lion Gate, everything was being destroyed—trees were being uprooted, shops were being swept away. But the flag with the blue wheel atop the temple's spire... it was fluttering in the opposite direction
Yes, the wind was blowing from east to west, but the temple's flag was waving from west to east, as if some invisible force was holding back the cyclone
That same night, a journalist named Arnab—after whom the cyclone was named—got trapped near the temple while covering the event. Right before his eyes, a massive sea surge advanced toward the temple. He screamed
At that moment, a sharp conch sound came from inside the temple. So loud that all of Puri echoed with it. According to Panda ji, it was the conch blown by the Lord Mahaprabhu himself.
And then the miracle happened. The surge stopped exactly 10 steps before the temple's steps and split into two parts, flowing past the temple on both sides. As if someone had parted the sea
The next morning, when Cyclone Amban calmed down, people were stunned. There was devastation all over Puri, but within a 100-meter radius of the Jagannath Temple, not even a leaf had stirred. And in the temple's sanctum sanctorum, at the feet of the Lord's idol, there were marks of wet footprints in the sand, leading from the sea toward the temple
Panda ji smiled and said, "Last night, Mahaprabhu himself had walked from the sea to protect his devotees.
Even today, Puri's old fishermen say that whenever a big storm comes, the Jagannath Temple's blue wheel turns the storm's path aside on its own. Science calls it wind pressure, but the people of Puri call it *Mahaprabhu's wheel

புரொபஸர் கல்யாணராமன் பெரியவாளின் பரம பக்தரான டாக்டர். அவர் ஒருவருடன் பெரியவா தரிசனத்திற்கு மகாராஷ்டிராவில் இருக்கும் ஒரு சிற்றூருக்குச் சென்றார்.
அந்தச் சிற்றூரிலோ, பெரியவா மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு முன்பே அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டு அருகில் ஓர் ஆற்றங்கரையோரம் அருளிக் கொண்டிருப்பதாகத் தகவல் கிடைத்தது.
அங்கே சென்றடைந்த போது பெரியவா ஒரு மாந்தோட்டத்தில் தங்கியிருப்பது தெரிந்தது.
பெரியவாளின் தரிசனத்திற்கு அங்கு வரும் எல்லா பக்தர்களுக்கும் அந்த மாந்தோப்பில் எல்லா வசதிகளையும் அந்தத் தோப்பின் சொந்தக்காரர் செய்திருந்தார். அது எல்லோருக்கும் திருப்தி அளித்திருந்தது.
அந்தத் தோட்டத்துச் சொந்தக்காரர் பற்றிய ஓர் அதிசயத் தகவலை மடத்தில் சேவை செய்பவர்கள் கல்யாணராமனிடம் விவரித்தனர்.
மஹா பெரியவா அதற்கு முன் அருள்பாலித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த ஊருக்கு ஒரு அன்பர் தினமும் வருவார். தினமும் பெரியவாளை தரிசிக்க வரும் அந்த முதியவர், மஹானின் அருகே வராமல் ஒரு ஓரமாக நிற்பார். ஒன்றும் பேசாமல் சென்று விடுவார்.
தினமும் இதைக் கவனித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த கருணாமூர்த்தியாம் பெரியவா அந்த முதியவரை அருகே அழைத்தார். அந்த அன்பருக்கு என்ன வேண்டுமென்று பெரியவா கேட்க, அன்பர் பதிலளித்தார்.
"நான் இந்தப் பகுதிக்கு ஒரு தினக்கூலியாக வந்தேன். மெதுவா நான் மேஸ்திரியாகி, ஒரு சின்ன ஒப்பந்தக்காரர் என்று வளர்ந்தேன். பெரியவாளைப் பிரார்த்தித்து வந்ததாலேயே நான் இப்போ பெரிய காண்டிராக்டராக உயர்ந்துட்டேன். எல்லாம் பெரியவாளின் கருணையினாலேதான் ! இப்போ எனக்கு நிறைய சொத்து சேர்ந்துவிட்டது. ஊருக்கு வெளியே பல நிலபுலன்கள் இருக்கு. என்னோட பாக்யம் பெரியவா இந்த ஊருக்கு வந்து அருளிட்டிருக்கிறதா தெரிஞ்சது. அதனால பெரியவாளை தரிசனம் செய்ய தினமும் வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். பெரியவாளை என்னோட தோப்புக்கும், வீட்டுக்கும் அழைக்காலாம்னு ஆசைதான். ஆனா நான் கீழ் ஜாதியைச் சேர்ந்தவன். அதனாலே இதை எப்படிக் கேட்பதுன்னு பயம். பெரியவா என்னோட இடத்துக்கு வரமாட்டார்னு எல்லோரும் சொன்னதாலே எனக்குத் தயக்கமா இருந்தது. அதனாலே தினமும் வந்து கேட்க தைரியமில்லாம நின்னுட்டுப் போயிடறேன்"
அந்த முதியவர் சொன்னதைக் கேட்ட பரமதயாளரான பெரியவா, "நான் இந்த ஊருக்கு வந்த முக்கிய காரணமே உன்னைப் பார்க்கணும்னுதான். நான் உன்னோட வீட்டுக்கு வரதோட மட்டுமில்லே, அங்கேயே தங்கறதாகவும் நினைச்சுண்டிருக்கேன்."
இப்படி அனுக்ரஹித்து அந்த பக்தரை அனுப்பி வைத்தவர் தன் அடுத்த 'கேம்ப்'பை சொன்னது போலவே அன்பரின் மாந்தோப்பிலேயே மாற்றி தற்போது பத்து நாட்களாக அருள்பாலித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

When a man named Hemanth entered a school in Raptadu, Andhra Pradesh, carrying a chainsaw, nobody could have imagined the horror that was about to unfold.
Hemanth entered a classroom and brutally attacked a girl student named Gopika.
But in that terrifying moment, one girl refused to stand by and watch. She is Lakshmi, Gopika's friend. She bravely stepped forward and tried to save her friend from the attacker.
In that struggle, Lakshmi was also seriously injured. She could have chosen to save herself, but she chose to stand up for her friend and did everything she could to protect her.
Today, both girls are fighting their own battles in hospital. Gopika has undergone major surgeries, and Lakshmi is also receiving treatment for her injuries.
We pray for the speedy recovery of both Gopika and Lakshmi.
