Watch a teacher make roughly ~1,000 instructional decisions in about 45 seconds. Only a few of them are about the lesson but the lesson depends on ALL of them. This is one of the hardest things to explain about teaching to people who have never taught.

No child should have โmeal debtโ in their public school. The fact that this term even exists is awful. (And teachers, as amazing as their are, should not be in the position of trying to pay off students meal debt).

If we could look at "borderless" lessons, borders being timestamps. Begin a lesson & care less about when you have to finish the lesson & care more about depth of conversations your Ss get into and the connections they make.
Easier said than done bc the pacing guide looms large.
