The biggest unreported story from yesterday: Carney snuck into the budget a massive immigration increase with the LARGEST NUMBER OF NEW PERMANENT RESIDENTS EVER next year.
Nearly 200,000 more than Trudeau’s highest-ever number year. When we have a shortage of jobs, homes, and health care.
Now we know why Carney snuck his immigration plan into a budget when everyone was distracted by the midterms and right before Parliament shuts for 10 days.
Unacceptable. This needs a real debate.

The US has no idea the world of hurt that it has ushered. It is truly soul-crushing to see some of the outcomes. My reaction is not based on partisan politics but rather a deep love and reverence for the US. Regrettably, American Exceptionalism is increasingly disappearing. I will continue fighting in the battle of ideas but I fear that this might be a fatal inflection point. May the America of the Founding Fathers eventually prevail.

Looks like we narrowly escaped real disaster in Florida. I blame the Iran war, inflation and congress wasting a generational trifecta. Oh and Congressional leadership for largely being out of touch dorks and/or RINO’s. People are over it and want more results + their cost of living to go down. They are taking the NATIONAL DEBT and subtracting the PENSION SAVINGS of Canadians to make our debt look smaller.
That's almost a trillion dollars in pension assets!
And they're using that smaller number to justify borrowing $733 billion more.
And when Canadians ask if this is responsible, the government points to our pension savings.
But here's my question:
Can the government use Canadians' pension money to pay off its debt?
If the answer is yes, Canadians deserve to know.
And if the answer is no, then stop using our pension savings to make the debt look smaller!
