After 20 years of my family and friends supporting me whilst I worked hard(ish), I'm delighted, honoured and excited to have accepted a consultant job at @RWT_NHS in Paeds ED.
Such a surreal moment but have celebrated with plant purchases and a lovely evening with the hubby!

Unless there is something so safety critical that you need to send someone immediately to check if the patient is still alive, or night reg asks for your opinion, then do everything you can to get the shattered people in front of you home ASAP.
Feedback later. This ain't hard.
As the weather turns, I've treated myself to creating a bouquet with slightly more longevity than my previous ones - a beautiful reminder of my little tradition this summer and how much joy it brought me

“We have recognised inequalities. Now we must act.”
An open ED door does not mean an equal path to care.
Recognising health inequalities is essential — but describing inequality does not reduce it.

The garden is struggling still but this week's bouquet of the week represents resilience and thinking outside the box (with a few leftovers from last time)

The heatwaves have caused a lot of the flowers to struggle and yet I've still managed to put together a bouquet from my garden 😊
So privileged and glad that I can do this despite the challenges.
Let's just hope some rain comes soon!

The garden has been struggling in this heat, but still managed to get a few things together for my bouquet of the week, topped off with a harvest of broad beans 🥰
