Unless there is something so safety critical that you need to send someone immediately to check if the patient is still alive, or night reg asks for your opinion, then do everything you can to get the shattered people in front of you home ASAP.

In GP - cases that presented as “simple” symptoms:
“Tummy bug” ➡️ brain tumour
“Runny nose” ➡️ sepsis in newborn
“Bit of a headache” ➡️ meningitis
“Just a little rash” ➡️ skin cancer
