Three children ages 5, 8 and 11 are gone, along with their teacher. It's the kind of news that just stops you.
Police say a 16-year-old shot his way into Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon. A 7-year-old and another teacher are still fighting for their lives.
Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz says a community member saw what was happening, went after the shooter into the school and ended the threat. Officers got there in about three minutes, and the suspect was already down.
Please pray for those families today. Then remember who stopped it from getting worse. It was a regular citizen who didn't wait for somebody else to act.
Good people with guns save lives.

WOW 🚨 Skid Row worker is Los Angeles says drug supplies are now being delivered to the homeless with golf carts
“I work in Skid Row — Earlier today, I saw a golf cart driving around and this is a city funded golf cart that's passing out literal crack pipes, syringes and other stuff to get high. That's beyond me. Like, seeing that, I was, I was baffled. It's crazy that our own city council is paying for that stuff. They're just adding to this drug epidemic here. They say they want to do better, but I don't believe it”
He also says based on his work in Skid Row roughly 80% of the people there have absolutely no desire to get better, they actually like living there because everything is free and they don’t have to work
“I can honestly say about 80% of the homeless population here don't want anything to do with getting help. They don't want to try to get better. They're just comfortable — they get everything handed to them. They get money, food, clothes, and housing as well. Which is crazy”
The homeless on skid row are given literally everyone they could ever need for free
- Multiple hot meals per day
- Clothing, including shoes, backpacks and seasonal items like sweaters
- Hygiene supplies
- Cash aid, Los Angeles County General Relief provides roughly $221 per month for single adults
- They all get EBT food stamps
- Shelter, beds
- Full medical care
- Free foot massages (yes this is real, video proof added in clip)
- Sterile syringes/needles
- Glass pipes including crack pipes, meth pipes, oil burners, smoking foils, screens and mouthpieces
- Naloxone (Narcan) for overdose reversal
- Fentanyl test strips
- Related kit items such as cookers, sterile water, alcohol swabs, tourniquets and petroleum jelly
All this is 100% free paid for by taxpayers. All you have to be is a drug addict who doesn’t want to work

Dear Secretary Bessent @SecScottBessent,
My name is Everett Stern. In 2010 I was a compliance officer at @HSBC. From a back office in New Castle, Delaware, I watched billions of dollars move to drug cartels, sanctioned regimes, and terrorist organizations. The enemies of the United States. I documented it, I escalated it, and when the bank would not act, I took it to the @FBI, the @CIA, and eventually the @SECGov.
The result was a $1.92 billion settlement. At the time, it was one of the largest in American history. It was also about five weeks of the bank’s profit. Not one banker was charged. Not one went to prison.
I paid a different price. I lost my career, my savings, and my place in the industry I had trained for. I was blacklisted. Every door in American finance closed at once. I slept on a camping cot in a 300 square foot apartment because I could not afford a bed, and I waited tables at @PFChangs to eat. I tell you this not for sympathy, but so you understand that I know exactly what it costs to do the right thing in American finance, and exactly how little the system does in return.
I made that sacrifice because I believed it would change something.
Yesterday, your department fined @BankofAmerica $1.2 billion for failing to report more than $5 billion in suspicious transactions, some of it tied by your own findings to Chinese laundering networks, narcotics, and the southwest border, alongside 475 apparent sanctions violations touching Russia, Iran, and global terrorism. The bank admitted it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act.
Fourteen years after HSBC. A bank with “America” in its name. And once again, not one individual charged.
Secretary Bessent, I want to say plainly what I believe you already know. The fines are not working.
A fine is paid by shareholders, absorbed by the balance sheet, and forgotten by the next earnings call. Bank of America reported earnings this morning. Nobody who set the alert thresholds, nobody who decided the 2024 cease and desist could wait, nobody who chose the backlog over the law will lose a single thing they value. Their lives are untouched. That is the entire reason the behavior repeats.
This is money laundering. This is blood money. Money that reaches a cartel buys fentanyl that kills Americans. Money that reaches a terrorist organization buys the next attack. This country has fought a war on drugs and a war on terror for decades, at enormous cost in lives and treasure, and all the while we have allowed the financing to flow through institutions we charter and regulate. Cut off the money and we win. We have never seriously tried.
There is also a question of equal justice that I cannot let go.
Before I walked into the FBI building to report HSBC, I stopped in front of the Great Seal on the wall and read the words engraved beneath it: “Justice is the defense of our liberty.” I believed that. I still want to. But every day in this country, people go to prison for crimes that are nothing next to moving money for the people who want Americans dead. A suit, a title, and a corporate badge should not be a shield from the consequences that apply to everyone else. If a street dealer goes to prison for what he sells, the banker who moved the cartel’s money should be standing next to him.
I also want to raise something that is rarely said in these conversations. Why has no one inside Bank of America come forward the way I did? The answer is that everyone in American banking knows what happened to me, and to the whistleblowers who came after. The last person who spoke up is the only policy anyone believes. That is a culture problem, and it starts with leadership, in the banks and in the agencies that regulate them.
This is not a political issue. It has spanned administrations of both parties. It is a national security issue, and I am asking you to treat it as one.
Three things would change the math overnight.
Refer individuals for criminal prosecution. Not the analyst in the queue. The executives who set the thresholds and chose the risk. One banker in handcuffs would do more than every fine in Treasury’s history combined.
End “too big to jail.” An institution cannot be too big to fail and too big to jail at the same time. If it is the first, it must be held to a higher standard, not a lower one.
And if Bank of America will not act as America’s bank, review its charter. A national charter is a privilege granted on behalf of the American people. It should be conditioned on not moving money for the people trying to kill them.
Secretary Bessent, you said yesterday that these actions send a clear message that even the biggest institutions are not above the law. With respect, the institution was never the problem. The people inside it are above the law, and they know it. Until that changes, I will keep writing letters like this one, and the next bank will keep paying the next fine.
I gave up everything I had to stop this. I am asking you to use the power you have to finish it.
Respectfully,
Everett A. Stern

We're in Stagflation they just won't admit it.
They keep saying that Consumers are spending but what they're not telling you is everything costs so much more that it only takes half of the people to spend to make their numbers look good.

As its Alt SZN (TM) I wanted to recapitulate the Flare offering.
• Flare is the only major L1 with a built in data.
• That data is used to power onchain markets and interoperability with tokens like XRP and Bitcoin which have historically been massively underutilised.
The utility just from this is huge - Firelight, the entire DeFi ecosystem in Flare, Flare smart accounts etc. This is where we are today but the best is yet to come… read on
• Those same data capabilities are being used to assure a verifiable compute layer that sits above Flare.
• Verifiable compute lets you run huge programs (example - a whole LLM) privately and with sufficient security to use the results onchain.
The use cases for the combination of Flare’s data, interoperability and compute are manyfold:
Protocol managed wallets which let a decentralised application on Flare take actions on any chain.
Autonomous crypto or RWA portfolio creation & management.
Private data streams that can interact with applications - so a public app can use data that can’t be exposed publicly but a user can be certain that the data came from the correct source.
Applications built directly on chains like XRP (with baked in privacy).
Private equity or perps markets.
Privacy tooling that can be applied to other markets.
Private and verifiable agents.
These are just a few of the ones that appeal to me.
Everything feeds revenue into FIRE - the Flare mechanism for buying back the FLR token.
We are ALL early.
A short list of apps that could be built on top of FCC:
• Private orderbooks, RFQ systems and dark pools
• Confidential lending, credit and underwriting
• Payroll, treasury and private institutional settlement
• Parametric insurance and private prediction markets
• Agents that hold API keys, policies or signing authority
• External-chain wallets controlled by Flare logic
• Automated rebalancing, market making and treasury execution
• Private Web2 data pulls and custom attestations
• KYC-gated apps with selective disclosure
• Shielded balances and private transfers
• Proprietary trading or risk models
• Heavy offchain computation with only the result posted onchain
• Randomness and specialized oracle services
• Apps that need secrets without falling back to a trusted backend
We have a lot of work to do. ☀️

On September 11, 2001, dogs served in different ways across the World Trade Center disaster — searching rubble, detecting danger, and guiding people through smoke-filled stairwells to safety.
Apollo, an NYPD German Shepherd, searched the ruins of Ground Zero alongside rescue crews.
Bretagne, a young Golden Retriever with Texas Task Force 1, worked through dust, twisted steel, and devastation. Years later, she became widely remembered as the last known surviving 9/11 search-and-rescue dog.
Jake, a black Labrador who had once been abandoned and badly injured, grew up to become a certified search-and-rescue dog. After 9/11, he spent days working through the wreckage at Ground Zero.
Sirius, a Port Authority Police yellow Labrador trained to detect explosives, was inside the World Trade Center that morning. His handler, Officer David Lim, secured him before rushing to help others evacuate.
Lim survived.
Sirius did not.
He became known as the only police dog killed in the 9/11 attacks.
And then there were Roselle and Salty.
They weren’t searching the rubble.
They were guide dogs.
Roselle helped her blind handler, Michael Hingson, escape from the 78th floor of the North Tower.
Salty helped his blind handler, Omar Rivera, descend from the 71st floor.
Through darkness, noise, fear, crowded stairwells, and chaos, they kept moving.
Six dogs.
Six very different stories.
Search dogs. Police dogs. Guide dogs.
None of them knew the meaning of terrorism.
None understood why that morning had changed America forever.
They simply did what they had been trained to do — and stayed beside the people who depended on them.
More than two decades later, their names still deserve to be remembered.
Apollo. Bretagne. Jake. Sirius. Roselle. Salty.
They searched.
They guided.
They served.

Almost made me tear up
Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letterbox at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page were the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank you

🚨 FOX JUST CONFIRMED IT.
Trump locked in more than 65 BILLION barrels of Venezuelan oil.
He called it the biggest oil deal in world history.
Nine months after U.S. forces grabbed Nicolás Maduro.
That crude was sitting under a failed socialist state and Chinese fingerprints.
Now it’s under American control. No war for it. No taxpayer check for the reserves. U.S. companies develop it. U.S. drivers feel it.
Energy dominance isn’t a speech. It’s a deal.
Trump knows exactly what he’s doing.
Wonderful
Just a reminder that once again I will be donating the extra profit from the platinum tickets for my #Legend tour to animal charities 👍
