🚨 Jamie Carragher on Araújo’s MASTERCLASS against Brighton: 🎙️ “I questioned this signing because I thought Liverpool were reacting to a problem. I didn’t realise they were signing a defender who could solve it for the next five years. The strength, the timing, the composure on the ball, the aggression in the challenges. He won his duels, helped create the opening goal, and defended that right flank like he had a personal contract with the Kop. Every time Brighton tried to get past him, they ran into a brick wall with football boots. He wasn’t just defending today. He was dominating. And the confidence? The lad looked like he’d been playing at Anfield for ten years. No panic, no hiding, no nonsense. Just quality after quality. Barcelona had him sitting behind a teenager, and Liverpool have him looking like one of the best right backs in the league. I owe the lad an apology. If this is what Araújo looks like when he’s settling in, I genuinely cannot imagine what he’ll look like when he’s fully comfortable. Liverpool need to make this deal permanent. Yesterday.”
