35 years ago today Maiden crossed finish line of the Whitbread Round the World Race & sailed into the record books, the first all-female crew to ever sail/race around the world. We were told we would die, we didn't, we won 2 legs & came 2nd overall! #girlpower #XX @maidenfactor

One of my favourite videos from the Maiden World Tour featuring the inspirational Brave Girls. For me, they really highlight the reasons we do what we do! #girlpower
“Maiden has supported our programme, raised a lot of funding for us, enabling us to carry out this programme for the last two years... to see the yacht, for the girls to see what it’s like to be on the ocean & part of a race, it’s a wonderful experience.”

Love this job even more when I get a chance to meet and interview @maidenfactor @oceangloberace skipper Heather Thomas - the only skipper to have led an all-female crew to victory in a round the world yacht race. Can you hear the sound of breaking glass? Expect to hear it more!
