We cant live like this.
We need to start ramping up pressure to GoK bureaucrats and politicians.
They walk abroad but here they love cars because in those tinted windows, they're insulated from public scrutiny and the smell of underdevelopment that they make us wallow in.

Settlers move into Palestinian homes on the outskirts of Jericho, a Palestinian city in the West Bank. If they stay, they’ll also bring a much heavier military presence to the city: more checkpoints, more arrests, and more violence. As new settlements are established or expand, the IDF is tasked with protecting them, even as settlers attack Palestinians. Palestinian residents are also barred from entering areas near settlements without an IDF permit, even when the land is privately owned by them.
The homes in question are located in Area C and, according to the Binyamin Regional Council, were purchased by settlers from Palestinian residents. Israel effectively prohibits Palestinian construction in Area C, so the homes purchased by settlers appear to have been built illegally. However, under the dual legal system in the West Bank, what is prohibited for Palestinians is often permitted for settlers.

Congratulations to Dr @AbdulElSayed and to all US candidates who have defeated pro-aparheid lobby’s effort to elect politicians that support Israel’s ethnic cleansing and atrocity crimes in Palestine.
May this be the beginning of the end of the rule of lawlessness brought upon us

One thing I'm glad about the Ruto presidency: he has exposed Kenya to be the imperial lackey it has always been. There had been too much cover up and PR sanitizing Kenya as an advanced African nation, riding on the coat tails of the Mau Mau to behave as if it is a revolutionary country. The Haiti expedition was the trigger that made the pan-African world finally realize what generations of Kenyans have been saying all along. Kenya has always been one of the major, spineless, imperialist moles of the entire global south.

🚨🇺🇸 From Melania stopping the immigration crackdown to advisers warning the Iran war would cost the midterms, here’s what really happened inside the White House before Tuesday’s disaster...
The first lady's complaints led the president to tell aides that Stephen Miller had "gone too far," and that was just one of the decisions the Journal traces.
Other details from inside the White House:
-Advisers warned him in the spring the Iran war could cost the midterms; he said there was "plenty of time," and privately asked even junior staffers at photo ops whether he should change course
-Told aides polls on affordability were "fake," and reminded them he won 2016 without commissioning any
-Said at times he "didn't care about the midterms at all" and was tired of domestic issues he saw as smaller than foreign policy and his legacy
-Thune got off the phone six times believing he'd talked Trump out of endorsing Paxton; Trump backed him anyway, then complained about his candidacy
-Trump pushed stronger Republican candidates out of Senate races in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Texas; Democrats won all four
-Brian Kemp turned down a Senate run after Trump called him "disloyal" at a rally
-Cabinet officials told oil executives in March the war would end by April; Trump was "shocked" to learn the military was short on munitions and cut a Russian fuel deal to get prices down
-Focus groups kept bringing up the ballroom and the arch unprompted: "It seems like he wants to put his name on everything"
Advisers warned about the war, the polls warned about prices, and focus groups kept bringing up the ballroom... but the final speech before the election was about algae in the Reflecting Pool.
For a party now facing a Democratic House and Senate, the lesson is pretty simple: next time someone says “plenty of time,” check the calendar...

YES, THE REPUBLICANS LOST control of the House and the Senate. But the real story of US politics this week is the defeat of the Democratic Party’s old guard and the first large-scale failure of AIPAC.
Voters wanted a genuine anti-war stance, NOT the horrific Joe Biden/ Kamila Harris pro-Israel line.
- Both those stale Democrats pledged undying loyalty to Israel, endless funds for Netanyahu, and a bottomless supply of "special price for you" bombs with which Tel Aviv could blow up surrounding communities ("defend Israel").
- The old Democrats were loudly pro-war – we can’t forget Kamila Harris’s insistence that the US would have “the most lethal force on Earth”, and her party’s insistence that not enough taxpayer cash was being diverted to the military.
- The Democrats were also heavily into global dominance. Biden arranged “Democracy Summits” which excluded actual democratic countries, because the gatherings were really just thinly disguised sales meetings of pro-Washington agents from around the world.
(Asia’s oldest democracy, Sri Lanka, was excluded for not hating China enough, and Taiwan, which isn’t even a country by the US’s own definition, was included.)
- Biden’s foreign secretary Tony Blinken endlessly peddled the absurd lie that the US underpinned the “rules-based order”, when the country refused to sign or ratify more than 40 of the international conventions that kept the world safe. (In contrast, China DID sign most of them.)
.
GLOBAL INTERFERENCE
The old Democrats, the public realized, were worse than the Republicans on the issue of US interference around the world. And Trump exploited that.
Trump defeated the Democrats in 2024 by simply realizing that the US public was opposed to overseas wars. Their leader said he would stop wars “on his first day”. It won him power.
Then he did the opposite, starting the most ill-considered war for decades, attacking Iran on Israel’s behalf, and he also threatened war on Panama, Canada, Greenland—anyone who opposed the old US habit of global military expansionism.
.
WHO ATTACKED INTERNATIONAL LAW?
Most of the world is saying that Donald Trump’s administration repeatedly violates international law. This criticism is clearly valid.
But we mustn’t forget that Joe Biden did the exact same thing earlier.
“Biden showed that international law is little more than a cudgel to be used against our enemies while being treated as optional for our friends,” wrote foreign policy advisor Matt Duss in a January 2025 review of how Biden lost to Trump.
.
ISRAEL CONSENSUS IS OVER
So let’s be clear about who was really defeated this week. It was the militarist status quo favored by the terrifying Israeli lobby.
Pro-Palestinian candidates won many races, and Michigan’s Abdul El-Sayed became the first Muslim in the US Senate, despite (and this is the key) AIPAC spending more than US$40m to defeat him.
“The old bipartisan consensus on Israel is over,” Beth Miller, political director of Jewish Voice for Peace Action, told the press.
What does that mean? America could stop its terrible behaviour in West Asia, and decline to send more bombs to Netanyahu. It could actually take action against the expansionist “settlers” in the West Bank. (Let’s be realistic—we’ll believe it when we see it, but at least it is now a possibility.)
Let’s recall that just a few weeks ago, AIPAC owned up to the fact that it was now harming candidates by showering them with millions of dollars and boasting that every candidate it backed got elected.
It then said it was backing off—which was not actually true. The money will just be steered to their candidates in sneakier ways.
.
HOPE FOR LESS INTERFERENCE IN ASIA
From the point of view of Asia—which, in human terms, is larger than all the other regions of the world put together—the results are mixed, but can be seen as hopeful.
Asia wants peace and freedom from US interference. The old United States, both parties, endlessly used their proxy forces in the Philippines and Taiwan and Hong Kong to create friction.
Both Biden and Trump worked hard to turn Asia (Australia, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, others) into a network of proxy forces with which to threaten or attack China, which had committed the grave sin, in US eyes, of developing peacefully, without invading the rest of Asia.
It would be naïve to assume that a major move towards peace is coming. But looking at the number of non-white, pro-peace faces among the mid-term winners yesterday, one can at least hope for a safer, fairer world.

Okay leave that alone . Audit the last few years since his presidency started how many scandals have we heard… every single day if it’s not the auditor general giving us information on the massive looting its independent bodies . It’s so massive that we have become overwhelmed and numb in disbelief . Today we hear 1 billion it doesn’t even move us anymore
As if that is not enough we have to wake up to amnestic minds like yours that rub salt into our wounds 🤦🏽♀️

Pretty Rebeccah clearly has zero conception of the military realities that have been revealed as a result of both the war in Ukraine and the episodic wars with Iran.
There is nothing Iran, Russia, and China desire more than for the US to desperately attempt to snatch some semblance of victory from the jaws of what is unquestionably the single greatest strategic military defeat in American history, which continues to play out in West Asia.
The Iranians are champing at the bit to go another round on the battlefield with the Americans. They have surprises they sorely desire to spring, and are just patiently waiting for the appropriate moment to do so.
At some level — at least among some of the more discerning field-grade officers at the Pentagon — there simply must be an understanding that further war against Iran entails greater risks of humiliating disaster than anything the US military has faced in living memory.
I suspect some are doing their best to warn the senior brass of the dangers — but I expect it will fall on deaf ears.
The influence of the #EmpireAtAllCosts cult is very likely to hold sway when it comes to this weighty decision to relinquish empire or set the world on fire in a futile attempt to arrest its rapid decline.
Republicans supported the decision to go to war against Iran. I think we have to take into account the unhappiness with status of the war, but the support fell when officials started saying things like the terrorists in Tehran want a new peaceful path with the U.S. as they were literally shooting at our forces. Once the decision to take the fight to Iran was made, we needed to follow through and Trump should’ve put Sec Rubio and Adm Cooper in charge of explaining it to the electorate. Still should.

Ubuntu: “I AM BECAUSE WE ARE.”
Some time ago, on my old account, I shared a post after being introduced to the African philosophy of Ubuntu by @malobations.
Firstly, a huge thank you to Elly for opening my eyes to something so profoundly simple, yet so powerful.
It's a philosophy that has stayed with me, and one that feels more relevant than ever.
At its heart, Ubuntu recognises a fundamental truth, that our humanity is inseparable from the humanity of others.
It's a profoundly different way of understanding who we are, how we relate to one another and, perhaps most importantly, how we should organise our societies.
Rather than seeing ourselves as isolated individuals competing for our share of the world, Ubuntu invites us to recognise our interconnectedness and interdependence. That our own wellbeing cannot truly be separated from the wellbeing of others.
And when you begin to apply that thinking to the world around us, the implications are extraordinary.
Think how profoundly different our world might look if we truly embraced that principle. An economy built around collective flourishing rather than endless accumulation. Leadership measured by service and responsibility rather than power and personal gain. A society that recognises our obligations to one another, to future generations and to the natural world.
Instead, we live in a world increasingly defined by division, inequality, exploitation and competition, where individual wealth and power are so often celebrated above collective wellbeing.
And yet, everything we face, from climate breakdown to poverty, conflict and democratic decline, reminds us just how deeply interconnected our futures really are.
Ubuntu offers something far more profound than a call for kindness. It challenges the very assumptions on which we've built our societies.
I am because we are.
Maybe it's time we started building a world that reflects it. 👥 🌍💚
For a far better explanation, I'd really encourage you to take a few minutes to watch Archbishop Desmond Tutu explain this beautiful philosophy in his own words.

Alright, buckle up, long post. I live in a DEEP red rural area in SC. When I went to vote yesterday the line was out the door. Good sign?
No. These are older people on fixed incomes. Farmers. Blue-collar, southern, not a minority in sight.
The same people I’ve watched check their bank accounts before getting gas. The same people I’ve watched get five things at the grocery store instead of visiting the local diner on Sunday.
I voted straight R ticket. It took 60 seconds. Not my neighbors. Everyone was solemn. No one smiling. People who have spent decades voting straight ticket were standing in the booths for the entire allowed 5 minutes letting out their rage and desperation in the only way they feel their voice will be heard.
This result is not on them. It’s on the people who pissed down our backs and told us it was raining.

If there are still those who entertain the slightest hope that the hegemonic system may change behavior or shifts in its political parties may bring about change, or that by making concessions to the US, they can persuade it to abandon its hostility, they're gravely mistaken.

Ini salah satu alasan kenapa perang modern makin mengerikan. Bukan cuma karena daya ledak senjatanya, tapi karena manusia makin sulit bersembunyi. 😨
