When men who claim to be women want access to women-only spaces it’s a human right, when women want women-only spaces it’s “f—-ing stupid.”

You might expect the general secretary of the UK's largest union for women to welcome greater clarity on women's rights to single-sex spaces. But women aren't even mentioned in her statement about the NHS's revised single-sex accommodation policy. Apparently, @unisontheunion general secretary Andrea Egan is more concerned with the 'safety, dignity and privacy' of men who identify as women. Her statement is also misleading by omission. She fails to mention that the NHS guidance makes provision for alternative accommodation for trans patients, including single rooms, subject to clinical needs. Instead, her statement focuses entirely on the needs of trans patients, without acknowledging the rights or concerns of women who rely on NHS services. And then there's the ideological language. Sex is not 'assigned' at birth. It is observed and recorded by a medical professional. Imagine being a female NHS worker, paying your union subs every month, only to discover that your general secretary Andrea Egan Unison General Secretary is using your hard-earned money to advance men's interests - not women's.

With great sadness, we received information about the passing of an Auschwitz Survivor Hermann Höllenreiner, who died three days before his 93rd birthday. Hermann Höllenreiner was a German Sinto. He was born in Hagen on 19 October 1933, and he grew up in Munich. In March 1943, aged nine, he was deported with his family to the German Nazi camp Auschwitz, where he was registered under prisoner number Z-3526 and imprisoned in the section designated by the SS for Sinti and Roma families. Höllenreiner endured hunger, forced labour and daily terror. He later recalled being made to carry jars containing the organs of murdered children for SS physician Josef Mengele, while members of his family were subjected to medical abuse. He was transferred out of Auschwitz before the murder of the remaining prisoners in the Sinti and Roma family camp in August 1944. He subsequently endured imprisonment in Ravensbrück and Sachsenhausen before escaping from a death march near the end of the war. Exhausted and severely traumatised, he was taken to France by liberated French prisoners and eventually placed with a foster family in Paris. His separation from his family continued long after the war ended: only in December 1946 was he reunited in Munich with his parents and sister, who had also survived. In later life, Höllenreiner shared his experiences through talks, interviews and commemorative events, bearing witness to Nazi persecution and speaking out against the continuing discrimination faced by Sinti and Roma. His life inspired Anja Tuckermann’s documentary novel "Mano: The Boy Who Didn’t Know Where He Was." In 2013, he received Germany’s Federal Cross of Merit for his work as a witness and educator. The @theSNP conference has just passed a resolution demanding Scotland impose a “comprehensive” conversion practices ban within a year. It must cover all medical and religious settings, have no consent loophole, and explicitly include practices targeted at “trans and non-binary people.” This is reckless. It ignores the Cass Review’s warning that exploratory therapy is essential for gender-distressed young people and that equating it with conversion practices will frighten clinicians away from providing proper care. It is also profoundly homophobic. The majority of the recent surge in gender-distressed youth — especially adolescent girls — are same-sex attracted. Broad bans that treat any non-affirmation as “conversion” risk medicalising and sterilising gay and lesbian young people under the banner of “LGBTQIA+ equality.” Parents who refuse to buy a chest binder, therapists who explore trauma, autism or social influence rather than immediately affirming, and pastoral care that does not affirm identity ideology could all be criminalised. There is no robust evidence of widespread coercive practices beyond what is already illegal. Women and girls are already paying the price for this ideology in schools, sports, prisons and healthcare. This resolution doubles down on the failed approaches of the GRR, Named Person scheme and Hate Crime Act. @theSNP never learn
SNP conference has passed a resolution “by acclaim” which condemns the UKG’s draft bill on a conversion therapies ban as “inadequate” & asks Scot Govt to “impose a comprehensive ban’ within a year to cover “all religious and medical settings”

In Australia, 167 women had their penis amputated over ten years, which is super weird because women don’t have dicks.

This is economic illiteracy of a high order. After separation Scotland would still use sterling. So it would have to borrow in £s to cover its massive budget deficit and promise lenders it would pay back in £s (or they won’t lend). But after an unspecified transition it would move to a Scottish currency. But all the borrowing done during the transition would have to be paid back in sterling. If the Scottish currency plummeted v sterling (likely given the size of the deficit, lack of credit track record etc) that could become an unmanageable burden given the likely poor exchange rate. Scotland would have to borrow billions in its own currency just to convert to sterling to pay back lenders. Devaluing the Scottish currency further. What a shambles that would be. He has no idea what he’s talking about.
Swinney says an "independent" Scotland would convert to a Scots currency 🤣🤡

But it couldn’t be social contagion, folks. It’s just that young people, especially autistic, gay and mentally ill ones, are finally free to be their authentic selves. The sudden explosion of young women who want to cut off their healthy breasts and take testosterone? Well, it’s absolutely not the newest form of self-harm, to which troubled adolescent girls are provably prone, ok? It’s not a consequence of the commonplace fear of becoming an adult woman, with all that that entails. No, there’s nothing to worry about there. The possibility of regret? Naturally, we don’t let minors get tattoos or own guns or vote, because that would be ridiculous, but if they want irreversible surgeries and drug treatments, they must be given them, and everyone around them must immediately agree they are now the opposite sex. That’s called being kind. And the mounting numbers of detransitioners? They were never trans, obviously, and should be mercilessly attacked, especially if they now say they were vulnerable and in a friendship group, online or off, dominated by trans identities, where transitioning was presented as a way to resolve all their social and emotional difficulties. (I have the emails). No, there’s nothing whatsoever to see here. Keep justifying it, keep cheering it on, keep insisting that the doctors and drug companies making serious money out of it all are acting with the purest of motives. Answer every reasonable question with an accusation of hatred and bigotry. Dispel every qualm of conscience with an activist-approved talking point. Reassure yourself that everyone on your dinner party circuit agrees with you. And when, in years to come, we’re all looking back on graphs like this, be proud that you did your bit to monster whistleblowers, parrot unevidenced claims and create the climate of fear that allowed the worst medical scandal in a century to take place.
This data never ceases to "amaze" me. In 2005, very few people received any transition related genital surgery (120 over the whole of 🇩🇪), in 2025 it was 4,184. And the shift in the age distribution is staggering: Surgeries on 18-25 year olds were almost non-existent in the noughties, now they dominate every other age group by a large factor. (This is official data)

and find out where he got that idea from. The idea the RCN says it should affirm the eunuch ID of a child is one of the most telling illustrations of just how damaging this GI can be and just how it can distort clinicians and others sound instincts about safeguarding and their moral compas

If you're on a NHS waiting list somewhere, be comforted that in both Scotland and England they are spending literally millions of pounds on legal fees trying to force female nurses to get changed in front of men.
The Darlington nurses case could cost the NHS over £1.5m. NHS Fife’s legal costs in the Sandie Peggie case had already exceeded £400k — and that wasn’t the final bill. What could nearly £2 MILLION represent? 🩺 Around 39,000 GP appointments. 39,000 opportunities to assess symptoms, diagnose illness, manage long-term conditions and reassure patients. When people struggle to get a GP appointment, £2m sounds rather different. @NHSEngland @NHSResolution @DHSCgovuk @SexMattersOrg @JournalismSEEN @NHSScotland @NHSWales @ScotGovHealth @WGHealthandCare

Greens ban gender-critical group from conference telegraph.co.uk/gift/31567a2… A gender-critical women’s group has been barred from the Green Party conference after being told it would make trans members “feel unsafe”. The Green Women’s Declaration (GWD) was told it was not allowed to have a stall at this year’s party gathering in Brighton.

Replying to @UsdawUnion
Summary: Usdaw, the union that represents shopworkers, primarily women, has a message of solidarity for men. It is opposed to anti sex -discrimination legislation dating back to the 1970's now consolidated in the Equality Act. It will work to dismantle this. A complete disgrace.

Trans ideology is utterly regressive. 4 year old boys who play with dolls 4 year old girls who like rough and tumble play are sent to gender clinics Gender ideology reinforces the stereotypes we fought to be free off

This is what we are up against. Prominent Labour backbencher Stella Creasy has said at a Labour fringe event at the party conference that speech must be controlled in order to be free. Creasy said: “It’s recognising the impact and the context in which people have conversations and debate… [recognising] the value of free speech but understanding, if we are progressives and socialists, that we need to tackle the barriers that stop people from being allowed to be heard at all.” She added that “those barriers don’t disappear” when speech is fully unregulated. The MP went on to support further harassment legislation, saying: “If we want to stand up for free speech, we have to stand up for the right of people to say stop – actually, you’re not going to change my mind, this conversation isn’t one I want to continue being part of, and the way you go on behaving means that I don’t feel that I can speak at all.” The Free Speech Union can’t believe that it has to point out this basic fact to a sitting MP: controlled speech is not free speech. Just as Stella Creasy cannot tell the difference between a parrot and a parakeet, she appears to have no idea what she is talking about. Read more from @GuidoFawkes below 👇

It's a very simple question.
Ask yourself honestly & logically.. if 98% of sexual assault is male, almost exclusively onto female, if you allow men to self ID into women’s intimate spaces who will be at an increased risk?

I received an email from a woman asking if I would speak at her girls' school. She had pronouns in her signature. I said I would have if she hadn't had the pronouns. She asked me why. We ended up in an interesting dialogue which resulted in her saying she didn't realise what she was promoting. Entire school removed pronouns from email. I spoke at the school. We are now friends!

I have finally after 43 years of membership, and being a very active senior staff rep in the NHS, resigned from my union, Unite, over it's refusal to respect women's rights. It has made it plain that it has no respect for women and believes that men who identify as women make better women than those born female.

Unions have no clue what the majority of members think on this issue, because they've never asked (do it, with anonymity). The reason there's so little dissent around any pertinent motions at AGMs is, probably, because no-one wants to be subjected to the JKR treatment.
No, they are objecting to the law. The Equality Act. It's not difficult, Jack. What are trans people currently suffering from? Women having rights?
