I had the same almost-mystical experience when I visited China in 2024, after having first visited in 2016. Might write my own blog post with more details. China is the future!

Grok @bot tip: send this to your chief of staff: new SOP for all bots: when you give me multiple-choice options, it's highly encouraged that you mark which of them is your recommendation. dispatch to all bots

“[Hangzhou] is without doubt the finest and most splendid city in the world” — Marco Polo I'm just as impressed in the 21st century as Polo was in the 13th. What a remarkable city! So green, so walkable, so beautiful.

I admit I'm 100% hooked on @bot and starting to get afraid of depending so much on it.
Elon Musk on Grok Bot: "We're seeing the fastest growth of a product that I've ever seen in my life. I've never seen anything growth this fast. The usage of Grok Bot per user actually has been growing over time. They are using it more per week, not less. Enterprise Grok Bot will be in wide deployment in a few weeks. I think Grok Bot will use most of SI compute."

.@bot keeps putting "clever" references to our chat into documents, which mean nothing to anyone else reading them. No human would do that, and it drives me crazy! In general, I hate when LLMs try too hard to sound smart. I wish @SpaceXSI would RL this into oblivion (must be hard, tho)

I don't understand why AI apps think it's OK to add a popup over your text when you select something. WTF?? It sucks!

3 little-known security tips: - park backwards so you can leave fast in an emergency - when you check in to a hotel, walk the emergency exit route right away. - before a sensitive conversation, ask the other person to switch off their phone.

When you see the Tesla Roadster in action, you instantly recognize SpaceX's engineering. Coolest shit I've seen in decades 🤩🤩🤩 youtube.com/watch?v=7p5LxFdc…

Very useful 3-color mindspace language: 🔴 Red system: fight or flight -> adrenaline 🔵 Blue system: long-term drive -> dopamine 🟢 Green system: presentness -> serotonin + oxytocin Good to think about, discern in actions & communicate.

Do you prioritize curiosity, agency, or craft? In a way, this is a false trichotomy, because all are dopamine-driven behaviors. Then there's love, which is orthogonal; Or justice, which is on yet another axis. But I do find most people favor curiosity, agency, or craft.
My favorite kind of person is the curious nerd with a sparkle in his eye.

NEW GAME: "pedantic AI golf" — what's the most absurdly innocent request you can get an AI to reject?
I don't know how, but this will end badly

Might try this for an upcoming trip. Feels scary but so did typing my credit card into a website in the 00s
This works well. If Grok @Bot makes a mistake with a purchase or leaks your card (never happened yet), SpaceX will make you whole.

me: A is B? Claude: Your intuition is mostly correct. The gap is real, but not in the obvious ways. First, I'll mention the fail cases, because it's just the kind of bad thinking that you're aiming to dismantle.

Strong intuitions can spawn compelling arguments via good writing, but reasonable ideas usually take years to form. You can act on intuition now and let logic catch-up later.
