Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify after a teenage boy was sexually assaulted at a Birmingham railway station.
British Transport Police said the incident happened at Longbridge railway station at around 8pm on Thursday, October 22. The 17-year-old boy was waiting for a train when he was approached by a man who began talking to him.
Police said that after a short while, the man exposed himself in front of the teenager before sexually assaulting him.

On November 30, 2022, Athena Strand was at her family’s home in Paradise, Texas, when 34-year-old Tanner Horner, a contract FedEx delivery driver, arrived with a package containing Christmas presents, including Barbie dolls.
Athena disappeared shortly afterward. Investigators later recovered footage from inside the delivery van showing Horner taking the little girl into the vehicle. Audio evidence from the van was also presented in court, revealing disturbing details about her final moments.
During the 2026 sentencing trial, forensic psychiatrist testified that Horner admitted to s€xually assaulting Athena before k!lling her. A DNA analyst also testified that male DNA was found on swabs collected during Athena’s s€xual assault examination. The medical examiner found no physical evidence of s€xual trauma, but that did not rule out an assault.
Horner initially claimed he had accidentally struck Athena with his vehicle and panicked. However, prosecutors challenged his account, and he eventually pleaded guilty to capital m*rder and aggravated kidnapp!ng.
Athena’s body was found two days after she disappeared. On May 5, 2026, a jury sentenced Horner to d€ath.
