People on the news are talking about this in terms of analysing Trump’s legislative agenda for his presidency.
I don’t think they’ve understood the story they’re covering.

New: Angela Rayner and Steve Reed have written to environmental NGOs criticising the “lose-lose” status quo of lengthy environmental assessments and slow case-by-case negotiations.
They want a simpler and faster system that delivers more money for nature recovery.

Pleased that Labour recognises the important role that our sector will play in the energy transition. UK ports are anchoring investment and prosperity here in the UK and co-investment from Government will help accelerate the good work underway in our coastal communities.

ALT The energy transition is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the UK, and our ports have ambitious investment and development plans. The next generation of turbines will require up to 11 new or transformed ports with more specialised infrastructure. It is important that the skills and prosperity that come with the transition are anchored in the UK. That, alongside the unprecedented speed and scale of investment needed will necessitate greater public involvement than we have seen in the last few decades. The ports industry looks forward to working with government in realising our shared offshore wind ambitions.
NEW: @Keir_Starmer will deliver the most significant investment in Britain’s ports in a generation, as part of Labour's Green Prosperity Plan to support the creation of 650,000 good jobs across the country.
