No one understood ever why the glowing logo went away. It's finally back.
We’re glowing with excitement over the new MacBook Pro. You’ve gotta touch it to believe it.

Disruption. And people - again - would not believe it. By the way: This is backed by the tech the laggardcy EU wants renamed to 'assisted driving' because they couldn't be bothered increasing road safety instead of ill-guided protectionism. It's sickening.

This is the de-facto deletion of Waymo - mark my words. They have no path to match this right now. They'll become a footnote.

Ok I admit I did not have 'SpaceX rewrites aviation control software to launch more' on my bingo card. This company does not take no for an answer it's truly something else...
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year. The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035. SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free. They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)

Oh give me a break. F*ing 4 again?!
Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing... The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer. - TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely. - LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap. - OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for. These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure. foxio.io/blog/choose-your-ba…

Ok. It's mockery and trolling at this point. (fun fact: the tip of this Starship shaped area is pointing towards the new Terafab location) The hockey stick of the curve is coming and I'm here for it.

Funnily enough Nightwish made a wonderful song about this in 2020 called "Tribal": ... Man found gods and began to preach Suffering loves faythe loves suffering Smile to elders like a good doll Repent, accept, separate yourself Suck the aureate tongue Sing the praise of your creation Bride-prices, thought crimes, blind minds The Word hides vivid monsters To bed the tribal itch ...
Qur'an heal your soul and mind

Congratulations to my friend @LulaOficial on his electoral victory. Democracy and multilateralism have won in Brazil. Europe’s partnership with Brazil is thriving. We will remain by your side for the years to come. Together we will keep working closely for free and open trade. A rules-based global order. And strong ambitions for our climate.

My issue in the Ukraine war debate was never the humanitarian argument. Arguing that this conflict must end for the sake of not shredding the whole young to middle-aged generation of Ukrainian men is not a wrong thing to say. At all. The issue with it is misinterpreting who's got the lever to make that happen. The longest one is in the Kremlin. The second longest in the White House, the third longest in the EU+NATO. It's not on Ukraine to make that happen - except for agreeing to talks and engaging in initiatives by the latter 2. I do not see that this isn't happening. What I see though is that Russia/Putin is constantly sabotaging ANY trial to end this war - simply because he has not achieved his goals. Yet. Which brings me back to the humanitarian argument - and this is going to get some major disagreement: This SOLELY applies to Ukranians for me. I have no empathy with Russia - or Russians for that matter. This nation has a track record of being internationally divisive and evil for as long as I can think - and that probably 3,4,5 or 10x. It has enabled a communist dictatorship on German Soil for 40 years - while Western Germany could become a successfull nation integrated in the West and into the heart of Europe. Stalin was completely happy to invade Poland together with Hitler, and starve his own population to death. Satellite Sovjet states have always suffered under Russian influence. And now we're in the age of Putin trying to reconstruct this historic monster form it's rotten ashes. Humanity would make a step forward if Russia were to disappear - simple as that. I DO NOT care about Russian lives. I really do not. All I care about is that Ukrainians can finally live in peace without threats, and Europa at large as well for that matter. So yes, try to end this war. Absolutely. The killing must stop. BUT: Russia must pay for it, big time. DO NOT let them off the hook.

I mean I get some part of the controversy, but people that call for a 'nationalization' of Starlink or SpaceX need to realize that this is a synonym for something called a 'deorbit button'. And I sure as hell hope no state on earth - or the universe for that matter - ever is in possession of such a system.

The middle hill used to be true somewhat for a span of like 6-12 months. The current frontier models require significantly less steering. Steering them too much actually causes problems. What still holds true is that a good ruleset significantly reduces Token cost and increases speed. E.g. Claude is still incredibly bad at automatically saving tests for re-use and the amount of repeated epic-long bash-prompt and Python snippets is staggering if you do not tell it: this is going to be a process we will be iterating on, save the tests in a suite so we can be sure as we progress stuff doesn't regress. This is something that e.g. Codex is absolutely superb at.
