The political class & their elite class of donors are totally disconnected from where the public is at this point

I am BEGGING people to be skeptical of articles that cite no sources, describe no mechanisms, and come from nobody you’ve ever heard of. Did the Pacific Tree Octopus fight in vain?
Yikes! Just read this in the whitepaper: "Penguin Random House uses AI to analyze book manuscripts for market potential and reader engagement. AI tools assist in making data-driven decisions regarding book acquisitions." bit.ly/46SHqjL

The thing about human rights is that you don't have to do anything to deserve them. You don't even have to be a "good person" or a "model citizen". You don't have to look good or talk well. All you have to be is a human being.

The idea that Scholastic could create a program designed to opt out, censor and ban diverse books from its book fairs and then call it "Share Every Story, Celebrate Every Voice" is the phoniest, weakest position anyone could think up

Universal healthcare is such an awful, inefficient, ineffective, and expensive disaster that every single country who has implemented it has continued to use it and it’s citizens regularly applaud it. Sounds absolutely abysmal.

remember when Walgreens claimed it was closing stores due to shoplifting and then their CFO admitted their rate of shrink (includes theft, fraud, damages, mis-scanned items and other errors) was actually DOWN from 3.5% of total sales to around 2.5%

"People are too tired to mask" is a BS excuse for inaction. You can require masks. You can distribute free N95 masks. You can educate people that COVID is airborne. Unless you are doing all of these things, you have no right to say "people are tired." The fault is yours.

“Yeah she had a cold… But the Covid test was negative? So, we just sent her today.” “Same. I didn’t know what to do either. So we found a mask?” “It was so much easier when there were just rules for what to do.” “Yep. I just want someone to tell me the right thing!”

Reality check: Obsession with how hard people *appear* to be working is an anti-pattern. Better leadership decisions at the top have a far greater impact on profitability and growth. Leaders that made poor decisions, often overcompensate by asking for visible signs of hustling.
1/ The days of work-life balance at startups are over. Here is how to get people working hard again: This post might be controversial. It shouldn’t be. Startups are hard. The most successful tech companies were built by people working long hours as a competitive advantage.

I don’t demand a perfect world I just want a world that can install hepa filters in schools and hospitals with the same expediency that we installed enhanced security screening facilities in every international airport in the world

Ever think about how 22 years post-9/11 we still can’t bring 4 ounces of sunscreen and a nail clipper onto a plane, and yet 3 years into an ongoing pandemic we’re able to walk around a cancer treatment center maskless? I sure do.

The truth is you think your life's worth more than mine. The truth is you think disabled people should just stay home. The truth is you've chosen your comfort over your neighbors. I will never forgive you, for this.

I am beating my hands to a bloody pulp against your window trying to warn you of the danger and have been doing so every day for years. So if you have read every single one of my posts since 2020 & are still choosing to dine indoors, you are kind of dead to me and you should know

Let's be clear. Janet Protasiewicz didn't commit to any decision on any redistricting case the WI supreme court will see. She said the maps were "rigged." They are! The question the court will consider is whether rigging them is legal.
