The political class & their elite class of donors are totally disconnected from where the public is at this point

I am BEGGING people to be skeptical of articles that cite no sources, describe no mechanisms, and come from nobody you’ve ever heard of. Did the Pacific Tree Octopus fight in vain?
Yikes! Just read this in the whitepaper: "Penguin Random House uses AI to analyze book manuscripts for market potential and reader engagement. AI tools assist in making data-driven decisions regarding book acquisitions." bit.ly/46SHqjL

The thing about human rights is that you don't have to do anything to deserve them. You don't even have to be a "good person" or a "model citizen". You don't have to look good or talk well. All you have to be is a human being.

The idea that Scholastic could create a program designed to opt out, censor and ban diverse books from its book fairs and then call it "Share Every Story, Celebrate Every Voice" is the phoniest, weakest position anyone could think up

Universal healthcare is such an awful, inefficient, ineffective, and expensive disaster that every single country who has implemented it has continued to use it and it’s citizens regularly applaud it. Sounds absolutely abysmal.

The only time I ever did was back when I would occasionally hang out with heavy smokers. Took effort to get that odor out of my hair.

Hmm. I think it’s the amniotic fluid from when *you* were a fetus, which makes it even harder to formulate and and implement a bodily fluid storage plan at that age.

Plus there was a span of time after MTV stopped playing videos, before the internet was a good at delivering video. Artists may have really wanted to, but how are you going to justify that much effort on perfecting your visual craft when there’s no way to get it to your audience.

Somebody said DDG is just a privacy wrapper around bing? Idk, just repeating gossip. I’m kind of disappointed, bc I’ve been using it for a few months.

remember when Walgreens claimed it was closing stores due to shoplifting and then their CFO admitted their rate of shrink (includes theft, fraud, damages, mis-scanned items and other errors) was actually DOWN from 3.5% of total sales to around 2.5%

"People are too tired to mask" is a BS excuse for inaction. You can require masks. You can distribute free N95 masks. You can educate people that COVID is airborne. Unless you are doing all of these things, you have no right to say "people are tired." The fault is yours.
