Is this true? You can’t ‘manage’ PPC accounts any more without going ‘full negative press’. Google chooses the words, it has thousands to choose from. Bids on the same words across dozens of campaigns, nothing is measured. Management is an illusion. The only tool is ‘negatives’

AI doesn't understand the difference between a market and an audience because people don't. The internet is built all wrong because of that simple flip, and AI was trained on it. It's not really a data project, to understand search, its a communications project. Knowledge !=

This bodes ill. Readers used to outnumber non-readers 2 to 1. Now non-readers outnumber readers 3 to 1. It's hard to imagine a change of that magnitude not having significant effects.

This is not how copyright works, it's not how copyright has ever worked. In what world is it okay to say, "I'm going to use this unless you tell me not to." THAT'S WHAT THE COPYRIGHT IS FOR.

Whenever you generalise, it's an ism. Racism, ageism, er... liberalism.... something like that. Absolutes are never true.

Restarted Windsurf and it changed Claude model down to 3.5 without me noticing. Immediately it started breaking everything and avoided answering questions about it. That's when I realised... 4.0 is just a level above.

Predictable (digital) marketing means picking which words will work before we use them - because measuring doesn't work any more.

"How could it be done to you and your ancestors, and you turn around and you do it to someone else?"
Watch till the end. Listen to the outrage, despair, and yes, fear, in @PatinkinMandy's voice. That is the sound of a person with a conscious. All our voices should sound like this.

This Friday night amicus filing in the lawsuit against Meta for alleged copyright violations is smoking as they specifically draw attention to Meta's use of illegal datasets to train LLaMA while knowing they where shady AF. /1

Claude is very smart - bit has a short term memory problem, haven't we all. Gemini workspace seems a bit dumb. How to manage production of interrelated documents at scale.. hm

Google has some pretty serious infrastructure to make Search work. Not surprised LLM's have trouble?
Wow. I’m not a GROK user but even putting aside any copyright concerns, this is is profoundly bad - garbage out in line with how it’s being redesigned as a platform.

I wondered where the ww111 rhetoric came from
David Sacks has hysterically warned of an imminent WWIII nearly every single month for the past two years.

Cursor blew my mind for about 3 days. Then it started getting confused as my codebase got larger. I switched to Windsurf 20 mins ago. It handled the larger codebase easily. Since they're both VS Code forks, the learning curve was zero. These tools are amazing but they have zero moat or lock-in. Users will switch to whichever one is best in the moment.

This brilliant cartoon clearly explains Trump’s current position on Ukraine. It is in Ukrainian with English subtitles. Share it with anyone who keeps repeating russian propaganda.

To be very clear: taking the @USAID twitter account and website offline does not disestablish the agency. Only Congress can do that.

Fab line "The dumbest trade war in history". The businessman starts an economic war. Invading Germany's closest allies was first thing Hitler did - & equally 'convenient with the truth' about why. Liar. Can fully expect Kier Starmer waving a trade agreement on plane steps soon.
Replying to @jason_kint
And there it is.
