Hey @webafrica - why do you make it so difficult to cancel a service with you? Constantly rooting through “support agents”. Cancelling should be the push of one button! Ridiculous! Let’s get this sorted… illegal to not be able to cancel!

We got it sorted in the end. Thanks for the offer. A customer should not need to go through a live chat in order to cancel a subscription, though. That’s far too many hoops for them ever to want to return, really.

What happens when you review 1,000+ @WooCommerce extensions? You learn why most fail. 🛠️ Ex-Woo CTO @mattyza (Matt Cohen) joins @GowithWP to break down why you need to drop the AI bloat and focus on ONE core feature. 📺 Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=vP8LTE4t… #WooCommerce #WordPress

Three of the WP Product Talk co-hosts had a wonderful time at #CheckoutSummit, although we did miss our other co-host @zackkatz 😢 (although based on this photo, it looks more like @ianmisner wanted to beat him up for not coming...)

For a long time I’ve felt that @WooCommerce doesn’t get the love or attention it deserves, given what a big proportion of the world’s ecommerce sites it powers. #CheckoutSummit feels like it’s changing that, thanks to @rmelogli. It has been truly energising to be in the same room as so many of the top minds in WooCommerce, all talking about how to bring it to its full potential.

I've taken some photos at #CheckoutSummit but the all suck. Instead, thanks a ton to @roandevries for taking these amazing shots that show you how unique and inspiring this conference really is. flickr.com/photos/198520738@…

Enlightening talk by @mattyza. Where he masterfully explains why most WooCommerce plugins fail and what successful ones do differently. He reviewed around a 1000 plugins. Matt also has the greatest slides! FOMO? Yeah. I understand. But… You can watch this talk online by attending #CheckoutSummit Reloaded, in two weeks: checkoutsummit.com/reloaded/

I’m excited to be speaking at the first ever Checkout Summit, and to meeting @rmelogli in person at last. If you’ve not yet got your ticket, book your ticket today and join us in Palermo! #RoadToCheckoutSummit
#RoadToCheckoutSummit −60⏳ Time to announce another speaker—and this one brings serious WooCommerce history with him! I never had the chance to meet @mattyza in person… but that’s about to change 🙂 Matt was WooCommerce employee number 8 and spent 14 years helping shape the ecosystem, mostly through the WooCommerce Marketplace—reviewing extensions, guiding developers, and helping merchants find tools they could trust. Now he’s flying all the way from South Africa to join us, share what he’s learned, and finally meet the people he’s supported for years. His talk, “What I’ve Learned from Reviewing Over 1,000 WooCommerce Extensions”, comes with a clear takeaway: most plugins fail not because they’re badly coded—but because they try to do too much. He’ll break down what actually works, why strong defaults beat endless settings, why users must see value in minutes, and why great marketing talks about outcomes—not features. If you build plugins, products, or tools in the Woo ecosystem, this is the kind of talk you’ll want to attend (and remember—no recordings and no livestream... if you want insights like these, you need to be in the room 😉). See you in Palermo, Matt! P.S. Find all the speakers and some of the announced talks here: checkoutsummit.com/speakers/

#RoadToCheckoutSummit −65 ⏳ Big milestone unlocked: the Checkout Summit 2026 speaker lineup is officially complete: checkoutsummit.com/cheers-to… All speakers are now confirmed and locked in. Over the next days I’ll be announcing each of them individually with their talk titles and outlines—but for now I’m just enjoying this moment and mentally archiving this massive task so I can focus on what’s left: tickets, sponsors, logistics, and all the final moving parts. One spoiler: @Wise isn’t just sponsoring—they’ll also be on stage (with Cathy Chen) talking about their brand-new entry into the WordPress/WooCommerce world 🔥 Also joining the stage (some of them have already been shared here): James Kemp @jamesckemp, Maciek Palmowski @palmiak_fp, Matt Cohen @mattyza, and Andrea Cardinali @andreacardinali (who’ll proudly represent Italy and prove we can run tech talks in English too 😄) Now back to reality: - calling printers who ghost quotes - nudging sponsors who are “still deciding” - reminding people about the Feb 28 hotel deadline - sprinting for two more weeks to sell the remaining tickets Nothing about this is easy, but motivation is (still) high—and sanity is (still) intact.

Until your product hits the real world, everything is theory. Most startups die waiting for a plan to be proven. Feedback lives in the reaction, not the roadmap.

I'm grateful for this feature in Slack I discovered by chance recently. I find myself often following threads in my day to day- now that is all automated.
