Seed stage cheat code: start a podcast.
Just raised $5M? Put $200K into a podcast, and use it to get in the room with every exec you want to sell to.
Here’s literally all you do:
1. Get an agency to run it for you (good ones cost $3-7k per episode)
2. Land great guests (your investors can help)
3. Package it to look as good as the guests
4. Run ads so more people watch
5. Reach out to the execs you want to talk to
SPEED RUN YOUR INDUSTRY
Most tech companies treat YouTube like a dumping ground for long corporate webinars.
I sat down with @theoscarowen (creative director behind campaigns for Gymshark, L'Oreal, Dua Lipa and many more) on @Distributionpod to break down how tech companies can actually hijack the modern media playbook.

Scrolling X for five minutes: Omg someone is building everything and has raised so much money, market is taken. It's too late.
Talking to any large private or public company CEO: Uh, we don't use AI, working on a strategy, also how do we price agents?
Don't even get me started on consumer.
It is so early. Go build.

Thank you, @calleymeans, for your vision, leadership, and relentless drive to reform our food system and make our children healthy again. You challenged the status quo and pushed Washington to confront the forces driving childhood chronic disease. Your work has left an indelible mark.
Thank you, President Trump and the White House team for championing the MAHA agenda and supporting our work to protect children’s health.

It's honestly insane.
You have the greatest entrepreneurial genius of all time right in front of you. And on top of that, you're lucky he's completely sane. Give that kind of power to a Bill Gates and we'd already be living in 1984.
You're corrupt to the bone, and you know full well you're lying.
Instead of saying "ok, we lost, let's let Elon finish what he started," your first instinct is to want him in prison.
For what, exactly? For soon giving sight back to the blind? For forcing the entire car industry to go electric? For launching, again and again, projects that move humanity forward?
This class of corrupt Democrats makes me sick.
Let me explain reality… if you have but sixty seconds:
They were targeting Elon
They were targeting him with fake charges because the socialist-industrial complex is terrified that he would expose their long grift.
They came after him for the Model 3 and Elon’s claims around its potential.
That potential was realized, and it became, along with the Model Y, the best-selling electric vehicle ever created.
These were fake charges to try to stop somebody from building the best category-defining product.
Let that sink in: that's how evil these motherfuckers are.
The loooooong grift has been exposed: socialist grifters are stealing our tax dollars to fund fringe lunacy, NGOs and government programs without oversight or audits.
They’re parasites incapable of creating any product or service that has to compete in the open market.
Elon creates a couple of cutting-edge products each year, and half of them succeed.
Some of them actually change the world. Some of them fail brutally.
It's called capitalism. It's called creation.
This is what moves the human condition forward: trying things.
Trying really hard things.
Socialists come for the people building valuable products and services — that’s the tell
Keep your eye out for the people who've created nothing and risked nothing, but who are attacking the people who risk everything to create Something.
That's the tell.

Let me guess:
UT now has some conservatives in charge and it’s therefore going downhill fast (……even tho there is record applications, record endowment, #1 brand and etc etc)
Did I nail it, @Forrest4Trees ?
Hey y'all, tomorrow @texasmonthly is publishing a story I've been working on for a while—a deep dive into the conservative takeover at UT. It's the Nov. cover story. If you've been seeing the headlines, but confused abt what's happening @ the 40 Acres, check back here in the AM!

Copenhagen pushes elderly in retirement homes to eat little meat to cut CO₂
Can they please get more meat on, say, their birthday?
No. A left-wing councilor:
Climate targets for everyone. And old people are “precisely the generation that polluted the most”

Heartbreaking 💔
Copenhagen climate politicians push elderly in retirement homes onto minimal meat to cut CO₂
Birthday wishes for beef are sometimes rejected “for the CO₂ accounts”
Residents pay for the food but often get organic vegetarian instead of what they want

Guidelines (p.45): max 500g meat/week, max 80g beef/veal/lamb (~one kid’s burger/week)

I do not believe in the 1 person business.
“Be the conductor of an agentic workforce”
A conductor can conduct 50 musicians to play but can’t also be great at filling the concert hall, running logistics etc.
I believe the perfect size in the age of AI is 4-12 people across 4 teams.
Team 1: Key Person of Influence - get ICP attention, be positioned as a leader in the industry, capture the key insights and create intellectual property.
Team 2: Team Growth
Optimise for CAC to LTV.
Team 3: Team Delight
Optimise for NPS or experience scores and retention.
Team 4. Team Performance
Optimise for value creation. Rule of 40 or valuation growth.
Each team has 1-3 people and a lot of tech built in.
I don’t think it’s wise to be trying to split focus and be excellent at all 4. Winning fans is a different mindset to expanding margins. Bringing in clients and delighting them are each a discipline.
Theoretically one tradesman could be a plumber, electrician, roofer and carpenter. In practice they’d be beaten by anyone who specialises.
I think a lot of people are going to get burned trying to build a one person business. A lot of 4-12 person teams are going to get seriously rich.

The amazing thing about this quote is that it was written in the 60s (Dune was first published in 1965).

My theory on the future of work:
Within 5 years, most people will be entrepreneurs. The incentives of owning a one-person business are better than those of full-time employment. In the past, most people were entrepreneurs in the form of farmers, tradespeople, and merchants. We’re going back to those times. AI is speeding up the transition because it’s removing the bullsh*t email jobs created over the last 30 years. Real work that requires creativity, agency, and imagination is returning.
Most people will not respond well to this change. People will do anything to avoid discomfort, especially sales and marketing. But there’s no other way. Those who don’t embrace this trend will struggle and end up in jobs that pay less and less. Many will lose hope. Many will not face reality. But the people who do will do extremely well.
Thinking and acting like an owner makes the work you do better. Everyone wins.
Building someone else’s dream is getting exhausting, too. The meaning crisis is proof. It’s more purposeful and fulfilling to build your own business. That’s why this trend is exploding. Nobody wants to go to an office daycare anymore, get told what to do, and lose half their day in traffic. We want agency. We want freedom. We want real incentives. Entrepreneurship provides all of those things and more. It just took us a few decades to remember why.
The return to entrepreneurship will be extraordinary. It’ll usher in a new golden age. Don’t f*ck it up.

I hate to say it, but you can increase your chances of success in business simply by stopping trying to sell to broke people.

Good news compounds quietly and slowly... Bad news arrives loudly and fast. That asymmetry (rather than reality) is why many people are feeling anxious during what is perhaps the single greatest moment in human history.
