It looks like Ben Johns wanted to play with a lefty, and chose Freeman
Chicago gets Hunter Johnson, and they can keep him for the 2026 year. More on this later this weekend. Chicago needed the cash because they lost Ignatowich and Glozman in the off-season when their contracts were terminated.

I told Tyson before the tournament that I would get a TM tattoo if we got a medal so this is probably the best possible result for my parents

I spent my lunch break watching @maxfreeman_pb take down @BenJohns_pb in singles. I like to think the pickleballs I gave to Max for practice purposes helped in some tiny way; I hated the LT balls at first too, but you do get used to them.

I really enjoyed the clinic with @maxfreeman_pb. I think I finally figured out how to optimize my forehand drive, which was nowhere near the level of my backhand drive — until today! I definitely recommend taking a lesson with him if you are able to do so. #pickleball
One thing I just remembered from yesterday, our opponents stopped because they heard a fault call from center court. The refs awarded them a redo. I didn’t put up much of a fight because it felt kinda weird to take a point that way, but I’m not sure about the precedent that sets?
